Hornswoggle talks, Bryan up for PETA2 award, Impact Wrestling preview, Hill talks wrestling, FCW talent works house show, Benoit biopic in the works, new WWE YouTube channel on its way, Glacier responds to being on "Turkey" List, new WWE trademarks, Tyler Reks' "Midcard Mafia" animated series, updated Final Resolution line-up, Questions on Survivor Series, Taker vs. Kane, Arn in the Hall, combining titles, and backyard wrestling, Tessmacher and Foley interviews, Dreamer looks at WWE positives, Abdullah positive for Hep C?, and a return from injury

WWE.com has a video of Hornswoggle addressing the fans after his Smackdown wish. You have to wonder how he made it through life previously without talking. Kind of crazy to hear after so many years of grunts.

Daniel Bryan is nominated for "Most Animal-Friendly Athlete" by PETA2 for his vegan lifestyle. That's somewhat amusing given that his finisher in ROH was called the Cattle Mutilation.

Here's the preview for next week's Impact Wrestling. Nice matches and stories set up for the show.

Jonah Hill talked about growing up as a wrestling fan on CBS Sports ahead of what was supposed to be an appearance on Raw. Fair point about the Globetrotters.

FCW's Damien Sandow worked a Smackdown brand house show, losing to Tyson Kidd. He's got a rather peculiar gimmick, but he's another name I'm interested in seeing work with the main roster.

SRG Films is planning a film adaptation of "Ring of Hell", a controversial, disputed take on the Chris Benoit incident. While I think it's a story that needs to be told, there are better sources to pull from.

WWE's new YouTube channel will open on 2/1/12.

After the break, I go into the rest of the day's news, including PWInsider.com's questions. Up next, Glacier responds to being on WWE's "Turkey List".

Former WCW star Glacier took his placing on the list in stride. Others were much less pleased about it. Glad he's not taking it personally.

WWE has registered to trademark "Boots to Asses" and "WWE Showdown", the latter of which could be a game title of some kind. I'm a bit surprised that first phrase wasn't already on merchandise.

Tyler Reks has made an animated series featuring himself, Curt Hawkins, and Tyson Kidd. Drew McIntyre is also featured, but is voiced by someone else. That was... interesting. I appreciate the effort to get noticed, but it wasn't that great honestly. At least they're all talented wrestlers.

In addition to the matches made on Impact Wrestling, Robbie E vs. Eric Young for the TV Title and Matt Morgan and Crimson defending the tag team titles against Devon and D'Angelo Dinero have been made for Final Resolution. I expect something with RVD and Daniels as well. Pretty solid line-up on paper.

For PWInsider.com's Saturday questions:
1. I can see that argument. It was certainly a good night for the company reaction- and energy-wise. Hopefully one day things get back to that level with the current/future crop of stars.

2. While I don't think he should go through Mark Henry to get there, if it's the absolute last time we see it and both men "ride off into the sunset" afterward (in other words, the feud ends all wrapped up for good), then I'd be good with it. Given the condition both are in right now, that might be wise. BUT, I think they can probably get enough out of both of them in other roles to postpone that bout until next year, when they'd hopefully be able to put on a better match. But I think when they do finally end one or the other's career (if not both), it should be in a final feud that settles everything.

3. They're probably "saving him" for a future class, because if you put all the deserving people in earliest, later classes aren't as big of a draw for TV, DVDs, etc.. There are a lot of people who feel he's deserving.

4. Here's my counterargument: WWE can promote more title matches, and more champions can get over. What if John Cena's the sole "top tier" champion? I don't think Daniel Bryan would be seen as having a chance at taking the 1 top belt in all of the company. Right now, C.M. Punk, Cody Rhodes, and Dolph Ziggler hold 3 of the top 4 titles. All of the titles are billed as important to have (see Booker, Ryder, and Bryan's quests for them). They're showcasing newer talent left and right if you actually watch things other than the top 2 feuds. I think there's enough talent across both brands to support the current system. I agree that it dilutes the titles to a degree, but not so much that they should eliminate tools for getting people over. If they had as many titles as TNA has (with as little TV time to showcase them), then I'd likely agree.

5. Given the budgets some of those promotions are on, I doubt they use gimmicked light tubes (when they can easily just buy the real thing). They're obviously taking their lives in their own hands with that kind of thing. But that audience wants blood and violence, so they'll continue to seriously endanger themselves.

Miss Tessmacher had an interview with Diva-Dirt. The former Extreme Expose have come a LONG way from doing strip-teases and dancing. I find her pro-TNA comments pretty hilarious given the timing: one company has a number of females in wrestling storylines that don't involve taking off their clothes, and one has lingerie matches and a show-spanning car wash in bikinis. There was also the lackluster gauntlet match that in my mind showed some limitations from the roster.

Mick Foley was also interviewed by The Score, and ESPN as well. I agree that the kind of bumps he did in Hell in A Cell should stay in the past. Far too dangerous.

Tommy Dreamer blogged about the good things WWE does. This should be sent to all of Linda McMahon's critics.

A Puerto Rican wrestling website is reporting that Abdullah The Butcher has tested positive for Hepatitis C, which has serious implications for his current lawsuit from Devon Nicholson.

Finally, Skip Sheffield returned from injury to defeat Alex Riley at a Raw house show. No word on when he'll be back on the main roster. He's pretty much starting with a clean slate since it's been so long since we've seen him. I hope he's worth all the anticipation.

That's all for Saturday's news. More to come after midnight. Thanks for reading!
