Queries on Shane McMahon and WWE buying TNA, Impact Wrestling post-show, Z! TLIS #44, Batista talks PG WWE, top FCW star getting called up?, Questions on Tessmacher, an anti-PG rant, Toxxin, and Punk, Jericho-WWE and Melina-TNA updates, Foley added to house shows, one more match for Chyna?, Cena not at TLC?, and the Impact Wrestling rating

Friday's news begins with a couple of queries:
1. No, the videos that have been appearing on WWE shows (and YouTube) lately aren't leading to the return of Shane McMahon. If current talk is to be believed, they're for (spoilers!) Chris Jericho. Of course, things can change, but it looks like the videos are just red herrings to get people talking. It's obviously working!

2. I don't think WWE will buy TNA in 2012. I honestly don't even know if the owners would be willing to sell. I'm not completely sure who would make that decision: Panda Energy appointed Dixie as president, so it might be their call. Jeff Jarrett owns a minority stake in the company, and I don't picture WWE doing business with him.

Here's the post-show for Impact Wrestling.

And here's episode #44 of Z! True Long Island Story. He's still got it. Funny stuff as always, and the TLC hype was pretty well-done. More people need to take the bull by the horns like this.

Batista gave more outspoken thoughts on the PG direction of WWE. I can certainly see his argument, though today it isn't as much about "kicking ass" as winning matches by hook or by crook. There are still some people who look like they could destroy someone (Brodus Clay, Mason Ryan, Sheamus), but in general wrestlers aren't as huge and intimidating as they used to be for whatever reason.

After the break, I go into the rest of the day's news, and PWInsider.com's questions. First up, a top FCW prospect is going on the road for WWE.

Seth Rollins will be getting first-hand looks from WWE producers (agents) and management during the post-holiday TV tapings and house shows to close out 2011. It's unknown exactly how he'll be used at this point, but there's been talk of bringing him up to the main roster. I've heard good things about the former ROH Champion, so I hope we see him sooner rather than later.

For my take on PWInsider.com's questions:
1. I also don't think that was to take a shot at Angle. Way too many "conspiracy" theories these days. Sometimes a tweet is just a tweet.

There's nothing to add to 2, so I'll move on to 3. This is the kind of question/comment/rant that makes people look down on Internet fans. You lose some (if not a lot) of the legitimacy of your message when it's written so poorly and has such ridiculous exaggerations. There have been plenty of good matches, cursing's showed up here and there, and they've got a PPV built around "hardcore" match stipulations this Sunday. It takes more work than complaining, but maybe if people actually paid attention to the shows and supported what was good, things would change.

4. She and Shannon Moore are still in TNA, so it looks like maybe they'll be paired for the time being. It'll be interesting to see what happens with the two of them with the tag team over.

5. I REALLY doubt that Creative purposely blew that angle. I think the theory was that Punk would work with an established name from the Attitude Era (Nash) and get the rub that way. Obviously that hasn't worked out as planned and was indeed a bad idea, but I don't think they botched it out of malice for Punk. They're just misguided about what fans want to see in 2011.

Chris Jericho is saying that he'll be making music with Fozzy in January-March, possibly to misdirect fans if he is planning a comeback in that timeframe.

Update: He also talked about Fozzy and the possibility of returning in a recent interview. 1/2/12 can't get here soon enough. This is getting infuriatingly redundant.

Melina shot down the rumor that she's in TNA. Apparently there's an angle soon to play out that had some thinking she was there. Interesting.

Mick Foley has been added to Raw house shows for the end of the month (12/26-12/30).

Chyna says she has one more match in her. I don't think either major company would take that offer right now.

John Cena has left it ambiguous at best on whether he'll end up competing at TLC. That's really surprising given how big of a deal he is to WWE. I hope this gamble pays off for the company.

Impact Wrestling did a 1.14 on Thursday. Not too bad. Hopefully that will increase since the shows have been markedly better lately.

That's all for Thursday's news. More to come later tonight. Thanks for reading!
