Rap star at Raw house show, Orton injured, Cena puts Punk over, WWE debuts new house show set, Hall episode of E:60 nomiated for award, WWE magazine on iPad, more on Ryder/Eve, Lesnar talks WWE '12, Hardy out of rehab, Miz heels Pittsburgh, Raw rating, and the FCW Champion works another house show

DMC of Run DMC fame was at Raw's house show at MSG. Zack Ryder's father and the Big O were also in attendance.

Randy Orton was injured at the 12/27 Smackdown taping, relating to at least one of the discs in his back. As one of the top stars in the company, this could be a very sizable blow to them. Hopefully it's nothing too severe.

Update: Sheamus will be taking his place in the co-main events of Smackdown house shows. I think he's the best choice to do so. Very talented performer. That being said, as many years as Orton has been featured as an important character/main eventer, there's no easy replacement for him.

Update: He's been dealing with issues there for a while now (in recent weeks), so it was deemed necessary to work that into storylines. That MIGHT be a sign that it isn't too bad, but I wouldn't let my guard down just yet.

Update: Wade Barrett cut a promo in-character at a Smackdown house show claiming that he had taken Orton out for 6 months. However, no firm timeframe has been set of yet. Refunds were made available for fans who came to see Orton. Tough break for the company all in all.

After the break, I go into the rest of the day's news. Next up, what did John Cena say about C.M. Punk?

John Cena introduced C.M. Punk ahead of the post-Raw dark match. Quite the ringing endorsement. Maybe it's their shared focus on hard work?

WWE debuted a new set for its live events at the Raw hose show in Pittsburgh. Here's a look. Kind of cool.

The feature on Scott Hall made for E:60 was nominated for the "Best News Feature on a Sports Program" award by Sports Illustrated. It was quite stirring.

It's now possible to subscribe to WWE Magazine via iPad. Good. Whatever gets that content out there making money.

Here's more from WWE on the new on-screen relationship of Zack Ryder and Eve. Ok then.

Brock Lesnar talked about being included in WWE '12 and more.

Matt Hardy has completed his WWE-sponsored rehab, and posted a video talking about where his life is now. So far, so good. Please, PLEASE stay clean Matt.

The Miz took a shot at Pittsburgh ahead of Raw's house show there. I wish more people used Twitter to promote those appearances.

Raw did another 2.9 on Monday, growing from a 2.88 in hour 1 to 2.98 in hour 2. Not too shabby, but the numbers used to MUCH higher. They should be striving for improving business overall. That being said, Kane's character being fresher and the changes put out by Punk might be beginning to catch on now.

Leo Kruger worked the 12/28 Raw house show, losing again to Alex Riley. I'd expect that to be the theme for a while. Always curious to see a new talent perform.

That's all for Wednesday's news. More to come tomorrow. Thanks for reading!
