Tribute to the Troops notes, Jericho talks 1/2/12 videos, Morrison talks future, Final Resolution opening video, Vito talks WWE turkey list, TMZ gets a pic of Otunga and Hudson, Batista talks WWE being PG and Cena, Questions on Tough Enough's Luke, Taker, one word to describe WWE, and non-PG Knockouts, Tessmacher in wreck, Sheamus on Fallon, difficult month for Cena, Lita arrested, Jarrett to be fired?, what will kick off Final Resolution, and Midcard Mafia #2?

Here are stories on WWE's Tribute to the Troops meet-and-greets and work done on the anti-bullying campaign.

Chris Jericho rebuffed fans linking him to the 1/2/12 videos. Rumors continue to state that he'll be returning then.

John Morrison addressed fans asking questions about his future. I think he could be making a pretty smart move here. Maybe he does end up back in WWE after all?

Here's the video that will start off TNA Final Resolution.

Vito discussed being on WWE's "Turkey" list. I agree that WWE could use more creativity and characters, but think he might be taking this a little too harshly.

TMZ.com has a picture of David Otunga, Jennifer Hudson, and their son. I wonder if they could ever get Hudson to make some sort of appearance? Seems like they would have by now if she was open to it. Hmm...

After the break, I go into the rest of the day's news, including PWInsider.com's questions. First up, Batista talks about John Cena in less-than-flattering fashion.

Batista commented on MMA, acting, and WWE's PG direction, which he blames on John Cena. Ouch. I definitely don't think "hardcore, edgy" wrestling is dead, even in WWE. It's just rarer because in addition to being safer for the performers' livelihood, featuring too much of it waters it down to the point that things like chair shots become fairly meaningless and don't get the "proper" reactions. Nexus' initial attacks, Big Show being run over, HHH vs. Randy Orton with Stephanie involved, Chris Jericho vs. Shawn Michaels (with Michaels' wife being punched) and Mark Henry's Hall of Pain have all been post-PG and on the hardcore, edgy side.

On to my take on PWInsider.com's questions:
1. While I agree with the assessment, sadly there hasn't been any news on that front. After such a generally unimpressive start, I'd be having second thoughts about choosing Leavine to win.

2. It depends largely on Taker's condition. With Rock/Cena already on tap, there's less pressure for him to return and try to steal the show. I personally wouldn't mind if he sat this year's show out if the alternative is a match that won't have a chance to live up to what we've seen in years past, but money talks and Taker at Mania will definitely pull in some. Triple H is the obvious choice for a big-time match, but I'm not crazy about feeding Brodus Clay to Taker (and theoretically killing his momentum all over again). It would make sense from a story perspective, and they could do it if they need Taker to win in decisive fashion, so it wouldn't surprise me. I suppose they could have the Board of Directors give HHH more power, then he could book Taker/Nash in some sort of plunder match between big names that would give Nash his last big payday (and reason to retire), but why reward such terrible performances with a Mania match? There's also the old standby of Taker/Kane (which would make sense with Kane's upcoming reboot), but I don't know how much is left to pull from those two. Maybe Barrett could try to continue the Barrett Barrage at Mania or Del Rio or Miz could step up, etc.. I'd certainly prefer one of those options if it gets the up-and-comers over!

3. My choice would be "hopeful" for a similar reason as theirs. Though Twilight Zone would make sense for why Nash, Cole, and Laurinaitis are such big parts of the show. Ugh.

4. When was the last time WWE did anything even close to that? The (best?/worst?) we get from them is Halloween and Christmas costumes, and those were definitely more "PG" than bikinis and lingerie. But I agree that there's an audience who just wants to see that kind of thing. It makes it difficult to defend being a fan of female wrestling when that's people's impression of it. It's pretty weird that the organization that hires more models is currently treating the division as less of an excuse to show attractive women than the one that "has the better women's wrestling division".

There's nothing to add to 5 (they pretty much nailed it), so I'm moving on.

TNA's Miss Tessmacher was recently in a car crash, but is believed to be fine. The second part is good to hear. I've been impressed by her in points recently.

As promised, here's footage of Sheamus on Jimmy Fallon.

John Cena thanked his fans (and detractors) for getting him through a difficult month. I'm not sure what he's referring to, but am glad the fans got him through it.

Lita was arrested for speeding in excess of maximum limits and driving while her license was suspended. Good going.

A stipulation has been added to Final Resolution. If Jeff Hardy wins his match, one of the Jarretts will be fired. Certainly ups the ante on what was already a pretty heavy match.

Speaking of that show, it will start off with Bob Rob Van Dam vs. Christopher Daniels. Certainly worse things to begin the show with.

Finally, here's episode 2 of Tyler Reks' Midcard Mafia series. Heh. The airplane reference was particularly clever (and inside). You've got to wonder if this kind of thing will get them heat or get them noticed. Kind of risky.

That's all for Saturday's news. More to come later, including a preview of TNA Final Resolution.
