Queries on Chyna, Homicide-WWE, and Snooki, JoMo interview, Questions on heat for Miz/Show, Eve turning heel, the "30-day rule", chair shots, the brand extension, and ROH, WWE developmental update, more Mania press, Angle Twitter rant, new HoF member official, more insults for Lilian Garcia, Piper talks WM28/Piper's Pit, Waltman talks up FCW stars, and a Daniel Bryan interview

Some queries to start the 3/21 news:
1. I don't see Chyna returning to either WWE or TNA any time in the near (or even not very near) future. Neither were pleased by her adult film endeavors (and WWE likely wouldn't have picked her back up even without those given some of her comments and actions over the years).

2. No word that I'm aware of on Homicide going to WWE. He mentioned in an interview years back that he'd be on-board to go there, but that's all I've really seen on the matter. He wouldn't be able to use that name for copyright reasons (nor do I think WWE would want him to, given its connotations), but I think he could add to the company. If the WWE Network and its Cruiserweight show get off the ground, that could be a good fit for him.

3. I wouldn't count on Snooki wrestling again, though Mania is in the NJ area next year so I wouldn't rule it out either. Mainstream attention's something WWE likes for big events, so maybe she'll end up back in the ring next year.

Here's Part 1 of an interview with the former John Morrison. Good comment on what makes a promo successful, and sadly true at times.

After the break, I go into everything else from Wednesday. Next up, PWInsider.com's questions, beginning with backstage heat on particular performers for almost causing injuries.

1. You're not the only one who felt that that was hypocritical of WWE. I think that if Miz was in Big Show's position of tenure and Show was in Miz's, and Show's wife had made some of the comments Maryse did, things could be very different right now for the two of them. There wasn't much Barrett and Ziggler could have done to "save themselves" from that bump compared to the one R-Truth took with Miz. Show's been wrestling for how long now? You'd think he'd be a bit more used to doing that spot. Not to bury Show or say that Miz was blameless, but I hardly think it's as black-and-white as some see it.

2. That sounds plausible to me. I wonder how far in advance they knew about the celebrity involvement at Mania, since that could have factored in to a good degree as well.

3. While they do selectively enforce such rules, Rhodes defended the title pretty regularly on live events to take care of that "requirement".

4. They could have just given up because they know that CZW's going to keep doing them. It's more disappointing when promotions who don't generally do that kind of thing resort to it. And more people seem to be into the promotions you mentioned than CZW.

5. Or they could, you know, make it mean something again.

6. It's definitely something different from what you get in other promotions. I saw an episode not too long ago and while it had its moments (Kevin Steen), it didn't blow me away. The wrestling's not bad at all. It just generally lacks the characters with charisma and intangibles that I look for in a wrestling product.

WWE is planning an expansion of its developmental program, opening up something like a "middle ground" in Stamford, CT to prep some top talents for TV debuts. They'd work directly with WWE as opposed to FCW. FCW will still run as planned, just likely being filmed in a different location. The company was understandably furious when all the false rumors spread about FCW closing. Note that I never endorsed those rumors.

John Cena was on Sports Illustrated's "Hot Clicks" to promote WrestleMania.

Update: Here's the episode of "The Chew" that he was on.  Talk about your weird cross-overs. If it gets more people watching WWE, though, that's a good thing.

Update: Cena was also on CNN's Headline News. And CBSBoston.com. And MTV.

Kurt Angle's Twitter page had a pretty busy night on 3/20. Here's a recap. Wow. Just... wow. While this is pretty entertaining in some ways, I think someone might need to step in and take control of his account so he doesn't post such potentially damaging things. Something like a designated Tweeter, if you will.

Yokozuna has been officially announced for the WWE Hall of Fame. No official word on any inductors.

Here's something that happened after the Smackdown taping involving Lilian Garcia. If she hadn't been around wrestling so long, I'd be fairly convinced that she wasn't cut out for her duties given her miscues over the years.

Here's video of Chris Jericho promoting WrestleMania. He did well.

"Rowdy" Roddy Piper confirmed that he'll be appearing at WM28, but thinks that WWE sees Piper's Pit as too dangerous for Rock and Cena.

Sean Waltman recently visited FCW and had high praise for a number of talents there.  He specifically mentioned Richie Steamboat and the former ROH Tag Team Champions Chris Hero (Kassius Ohno) and Claudio Castagnoli (Antonio Cesaro). Maybe... MAYBE WWE will pair the latter two and have them reinvigorate the Tag Team Title hunt. I wouldn't count on it, though.

Finally, Daniel Bryan had an interview. Huge props for his dedication and never giving up on his dream. The difference between Bryan 2012 and Bryan 2010 is astonishing. He's really grown into his role and turned me from a non-believer to a serious fan. That takes talent.

That's it for Wednesday's news. More should be up tonight. Superstars and Impact Wrestling are next. Thanks for reading and I apologize for the lateness!
