Slammiversary rumor-killer, DiBiase injured, Kharma update, Questions on weird booking ideas, Kendrick, and Punk vs. Bryan, Raw visitor, more Sheamus anti-bullying, Ryder and Edge interviews, top indie name getting WWE tryout, and a Daniel Bryan interview

Despite rumors to the contrary, it appears that TNA Slammiversary will not be in New York City.

Ted DiBiase suffered a broken ankle at the Smackdown taping. Very sorry to hear that.

Update: WWE is saying that he will miss several weeks. At least that's not "several months". It's a shame that another performer's going to possibly miss Mania.

In a very unfortunate turn of events, it appears that Kharma's pregnancy ended in a still birth. Very sad to hear that and I hope she pulls through what must be a very trying time.

As for my take on Wednesday's PWInsider.com questions:
1. I almost said "losing his title shot to someone more credible", but it depends on the talent involved. My definition of a lower-card jobber would be someone who barely gets any TV time. A Rumble win could catapult just about anyone to being taken seriously, but that doesn't mean they should go that route. If they did decide to do that for some reason, they should spend the remaining time towards Mania building said performer so that he's no longer a lower-card jobber.

Nothing to add to 2. As for 3. It is possible, but very unlikely. Why give away a big gimmick match when the big selling point of Mania is that it's the first time those two are facing off one-on-one?

After the break, I go into everything else from Wednesday. Next up, more questions.

4. I can't say that I blame them, given how little he was used. There are a number of other people there in similar positions of irrelevancy that they should consider booting.

5. They want both men looking strong going into Mania. One beating the other clean would pretty much make one brand look better than the other. If they do that, there's not as much reason to be interested in the loser. Matches are just story points to WWE. They should be used to build to other matches.

Justin Credible was visiting at Raw. I don't think we'll be seeing him back in WWE, but surprises do happen.

Here are two videos on Sheamus visiting a middle school. He's becoming more important to WWE.

Zack Ryder was interviewed in the UK. I like his comments about social media. I'm not so sure about seeing a PPV in the UK due to the timing issues. They'd either have to tape it ahead of time, change the normal air time, or run there REALLY late at night (or early in the morning depending on your perspective). The fact that Ryder was flown to Europe to promote Mania should tell you that WWE thinks highly of him. If they didn't like him, he'd be lucky they booked him period.

Edge was interviewed as well. I really appreciate his viewpoint about heels as far as T-shirts and catchphrases. I also really appreciate his feelings about his own career. All in all, good stuff.

Notable indie performer Sami Callihan was backstage at both Raw and Smackdown this week for a WWE tryout with the producers (agents). I've seen his name a lot lately, so he could be someone to check out. Him getting a tryout suggests that WWE really has their eyes on the indie scene.

Here's footage of John Cena's speech from after Raw.

Finally, here's a Daniel Bryan interview ahead of Tuesday's Smackdown taping (partially in-character). He's really got his head on his shoulders despite his on-screen character. I very much like the "militant vegan" aspect, having seen some of those people in real life and not caring for their attitude. That's another endorsement for there being some promising talent in FCW, particularly Ambrose. The "Big Show Stopper" line is pretty good. Good training regiment, too. He came across pretty well here.

That's all for Wednesday's news. More to come tomorrow. Thanks for reading!
