Hart celebration update, NXT star works live events, Waltman talks Shield, and Questions on Montreal

Bret Hart Appreciation Night will air live after Raw goes off the air on The Score in Canada. They should swerve him at the last minute and make it HBK Appreciation Night. Then he could go to TNA and get involved in the finish of Sting vs. Bully Ray.

Bray Wyatt defeated Zack Ryder on a recent live event. That's right. Ryder even loses to people the audience doesn't know. From the sounds of things, Wyatt really has potential, so maybe it's ok.

Sean Waltman speculated on the contract status of The Shield, based on his time in DX.

Everything else from yesterday is after the break.

For my take on yesterday's PWInsider.com questions:
1.a. Talk about a loaded question! I'm under the impression that they had agreed that Survivor Series would have been his last night (with his contract ending then), but he wanted to lose the title the next night.

b. Ken Shamrock as WWF Champion!? I liked Shamrock and all but didn't see him as Champion material. It's tough to defend the Screwjob as a business decision, since they did break their agreement with Bret. I see why they did it, though: they didn't want Hart "pulling a Madusa" with the WWF Title (though there's no way to know if he would have, or instead he would have honored the agreement to lose to HBK the next night on Raw). All these years later, it does seem really silly that Bret didn't want his TV character to relinquish ownership of a prop to another TV character, but wrestling is very "serious business" to the Harts. Judging by what we know now, the Screwjob was the "right" ending given what it did for the WWF.

c. Legally, yes, Vince screwed Bret. I understand his motivations, though.

Nothing to add to anything else.

More wrestling tomorrow.
