Sandow and Cena do good deeds, Hall of Famer at Raw, Interview with Morrison, new ER match official, Impact audience, Ziggler update, and Questions on WWE Creative, Punk's body, bleeding from the mouth, TNA referencing WWE, and TNA in 10 years

Damien Sandow talked to children in Kentucky about child abuse. As if I needed another reason to be a fan of his.

The May 27 Raw in Calgary, Alberta, Canada will be Bret Hart Appreciation Night. Bret Hart is the wrestling equivalent of Grumpy Cat.

WWE.com caught up with John Morrison. Can you imagine a conversation between him and Brian Kendrick?

John Cena met another kid with a debilitating condition.

Everything else from yesterday is after the break.

Randy Orton vs. Big Show in an "Extreme Rules" match has been set for (what else?) Extreme Rules. This whole "forcing stipulations" thing is terrible. It used to be that they added stipulations to feuds. Now they add feuds to stipulations. Hell in a Cell matches, Elimination Chambers, etc. don't mean nearly as much as they used to. It used to be that when a big gimmick match was announced it was because the feud warranted it: it had been taken to such a level that the only way to settle things was to give the match a stipulation. Not now. I now understand why so many people who have followed wrestling a long time are bitter and jaded.

Impact Wrestling's audience grew to 1.27 million this past week. I hope things continue in a positive direction. TNA's doing good stuff. A lot of the "little" things I criticize WWE for, TNA does right.

Dolph Ziggler commented on his concussion. Maybe if modern wrestling toned down the crazy bumps and weapon spots, there wouldn't be as many injuries? Just a thought. For what it's worth, WWE is considering alternate plans for Extreme Rules if he can't wrestle then. I hope they just go with Del Rio vs. Swagger in a #1 Contenders' match (hang a contract above the ring). Another issue I have with WWE's booking: they're selling a big ladder match at this PPV. In 2 months at MITB, they're going to try to sell us on another big ladder match. I think it waters down the gimmicks if they're done that often.

For my take on yesterday's PWInsider.com questions:
1. WWE's not so good at the "long-term planning" thing sometimes. I understand that sometimes things come up and a change is necessary, but it seems to be becoming more and more common that they drop angles and such.

2. Looks like Vince McMahon found PWInsider. Seriously, now. I couldn't care much less about if he looks "buff". I'm much more concerned with whether or not he can put on good matches and tell good stories. More wrestlers and wrestling fans need to worry about that more than their physiques. Not that having a good look isn't important. It just shouldn't be seen as a detriment. Punk was champion for 434 days and you don't think he can pose a threat to a guy who only wrestles a handful of times a year and is almost 50?

3. Theoretically the ref could hold it in his pocket until it was needed?

4. I guess TNA could say that "Bubba"'s a common nickname? Don't know if that would fly, though. As long as it doesn't become a regular thing, I don't see WWE caring all that much (unless TNA starts becoming more of a threat).

5. There's no telling! That's a long time to forecast in the wrestling world. Things will be completely different by then, for sure.

More wrestling tomorrow.
