Query on Alex Riley, what happened during the Raw main event, guest at Raw, Hart profiled, le TNA, King Mo update, Ziggler back?, Piper appearance, Mid-South performer passes away, update on new WWE signing, ROH rumorkiller, Eaton hospitalized, honoring Bruno, Orton makes a wish, Interviews with Foley/Bully Ray, Young surgery, and Smackdown's audience

First up, a query:
1. I haven't seen anything about WWE repackaging Alex Riley. I wish they would. I think he's pretty talented. He just needs a role and gimmick for fans to sink their teeth into. A number of talents fall into this trap.

During Cena vs. Axel on Raw, there was some sort of commotion in the crowd involving a drunken fan that security had to remove forcibly. He was probably getting started drinking in case CENAWONLOL. I know; I'm terrible. It's a shame that people can't control themselves at a family show.

Lance Storm was visiting at Raw due to the Bret Hart festivities.

Speaking of which, the Calgary Herald covered the special edition of Raw. Nice read.

Everything else from yesterday is after the break.

The attendance for the Impact taping in Tampa was said to be "disappointing". This is Hulk Hogan's home area and there was some press for it, so that's rather unexpected. I wonder who will actually end up being blamed for it.

TNA will have French commentators for Slammiversary to reach countries that use that language. That's awesome! I hope they do a great job and expand TNA's audience in those areas.

The Stu Stone/King Mo situation has been resolved. *cough* Work. It got them attention and that was the goal, so I can't complain.

Dolph Ziggler is advertised for next week's Raw and Smackdown tapings; however, it is unknown if he will be wrestling. While the circumstances are unfortunate, the fact that he's been gone for a while makes his next matches/appearances more important. Del Rio vs. Ziggler at Payback (if that's possible) could be a REALLY good match. Two of the best performers in either major promotion.

"Rowdy" Roddy Piper was on Storage Wars. Just when they thought that they knew what the prices were, he changed the merchandise!

Col. Buck Robley has passed away. More details as they come in. Cagematch has some basic details on his career. Slam! Wrestling has more. Talk about an unsung hero. It sounds like he really did a lot of cool things for the business.

Samuray del Sol is still scheduled for this week's EVOLVE shows before heading to NXT.

Despite rumors to the contrary, Mike Mondo has not left Ring Of Honor. I normally don't address promotions other than WWE or TNA, but I guess theoretically some people could have thought he was heading to one of the "big two".

Bobby Eaton of the Midnight Express has been hospitalized due to his continued heart issues.

Here are some highlights from Bruno (Sammartino) Day.

Randy Orton did a good deed as part of the Make-A-Wish Organization. Pretty touching story.

Mick Foley talked about Curtis Axel, Dean Ambrose, and more. Here are highlights. I hope Axel sails as high as Heyman's other projects. I wasn't crazy about his run in TNA. I look back at that "empty arena" Tweet and crack up, but at the time I found it disrespectful. It's cool that he worked things out with Dixie and the McMahons. There's a lesson there. I think The Shield is a pretty good push for Ambrose. There's a reason a lot of people are high on him. Ziggler's also someone who deserves praise.

Eric Young is reportedly undergoing his 16th throat surgery. Yikes. I hope he comes out of it ok and doesn't need any more.

Bully Ray was interviewed ahead of Slammiversary. Awesome stuff. Worked shoot? Great and hilarious at any rate. This is really the 4th time in a row that Sting has challenged for the TNA Title at Slammiversary. Wow. Not quite Cena at Mania bad, but it's definitely redundant.

Smackdown had 2.47 million viewers on Friday. Not bad.

More wrestling tomorrow.
