NXT and WWE live event notes, more on HOH remembering Balls, NJPW names announced for ROH tour, Undertaker update, Renee to miss TV, Bray injury update, Titus returning soon, and Questions on a tag team main event, pushing Ryder, HHH at Payback, Ambrose's spot, and New Day as singles stars

A number of talents from the most recent Tough Enough competed at NXT's latest live event in Florida. Also, Alex Riley played babyface in a tag match with Mojo Rawley. Ryder's recent singles storyline on the main roster makes me wonder what the status of the Hype Bros is.

Tommy Dreamer released video of him tributing Balls Mahoney along with other ECW alumni and the House of Hardcore roster. Cool to see them all gather together like that.

Ryback discussed his frustrations with how he's being booked and more. Interesting to hear him tease leaving WWE. I'm curious as to how he'd do elsewhere.

Everything else from yesterday is after the break.
ROH has announced the following NJPW talents for their co-branded tour in May (beginning with the May 8 Global Wars PPV):
- IWGP Heavyweight Champion Tetsuya Naito
- IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion KUSHIDA
- ROH Television Champion Tomohiro Ishii
- Kazuchika Okada
- Hiroshi Tanahashi
- Jushin Liger

-- More names could be added as part of the tour, pending working visas being approved. Kenny Omega and Shibata have been discussed as appearing.

The Undertaker is no longer set to appear on WWE's ongoing European tour. Triple H and Shane McMahon were added to some of the shows as a replacement. As noted previously, I think it's too early to assume he's retired. We probably won't know one way or another until WM33 approaches.

Renee Young will not be on TV this week due to visa issues. That's a shame; she's a natural.

Bray Wyatt has been sent home from WWE's tour due to his calf injury. If he's not able to make Payback, they can have Rowan and Strowman team with Barrett against LoN. I think the idea is for Barrett to kind of fade away in case he doesn't sign a new contract, but they could do another big beatdown angle to write him off in this case. If he's healthy enough to work, I don't think they should keep him on the bench. This is the perfect spot for him.

WWE's live event from Sunday got local press coverage

Titus O'Neil has been booked to return to WWE at the April 25 Raw taping. I guess they didn't want to fly him to Europe for this week's shows. Hopefully he is able to pick up some momentum when he returns.

Some notes from a WWE live event this weekend:
- Eva Marie teamed with Paige, Natalya, and Alicia Fox in a win over Lana, Summer Rae, Naomi, and Tamina. So, at least for this tour, Eva Marie is part of the main roster and Lana is still a wrestler.

- Big Show beat both Los Matadores in a handicap match. No El Torito. I wonder how long Primo and Epico will work those gimmicks on live events.

For my take on yesterday's PWInsider.com questions:
1. I'd be fine with a ladder match to determine the No. 1 contenders as long as it was kept to about four teams. Any more than that would probably be too chaotic. I don't want to see a tag team MITB, though. They should save that concept for the WWE Title so it remains important.

2. I don't think so. It looks like their main goal with Ryder's win was to set up Maryse and Miz as a duo. Unless they're dropping the Hype Bros teaming, I wouldn't count on a big singles push.

3. I think we're more likely to see the former Bullet Club come into play in the angle. Adding HHH to the mix would dilute that group's impact on the title scene; I expect him to feud with Shane instead.

4. I think you mean whom did Ambrose impress. He was originally going to face Y2J at Wrestlemania, possibly for the Intercontinental Championship. Brock was going to feud with the Wyatts. Instead, Ambrose was moved to being in one of the main events of the show. The Jericho feud continues the "Y2J's out to bury the indie darlings" angle, and was set up way back when Jericho was the surprise partner for Ambrose and Roman against the Wyatts.

5. After Billy Gunn's firing, I wouldn't count on an Outlaws feud. New Day vs. Enzo and Cass is the mic battle I want to see. I definitely see Big E as someone who can get a solid push once the trio splits off to try new things (which hopefully won't be anytime soon). Kofi has an outside chance at a good push, too, if they think fans will buy him as a main eventer after all this time.

More wrestling tomorrow.
