Superstars Reax - 4/29/16, TNA and ROH names on GFW show, WWE Network wins award, Chyna content added to Network, Interview with Camp WWE actor, even more potential WWE DVDs, Smackdown audience, another announcer gone from WWE, new TNA signings, TNA contract renewal, new NXT name speaks, and Questions on Trish vs. Sasha, watching LU, Mulligan's autobiography, and meeting wrestlers

Superstars:
The final WWE appearance of Rich Brennan.

- Ryder vs. D-Von:
I'm surprised the Dudleys are just on Superstars. I expect them to do something at Payback or the night after to set up a feud with Enzo and Cass for Extreme Rules.

I might be the only one who wants Mojo to come out and make the save on a beatdown to set up a tag match.

This is going alright so far.

Surprising win. Good to see Ryder look good after disappearing from TV.

- Kalisto vs. Breeze:
No promo from Breeze about Kalisto wearing a mask? Man. He's really persona non grata right now.

This is pretty good so far.

Nice for Breeze to go for the leg. It's good to see him show more tenacity.

I love the story being told here.

Really solid match. I like seeing both men in action.

Everything else from yesterday is after the break.

GFW's May 13-15 loop will feature (variously) TNA's Matt Hardy, Ethan Carter III, DJ Z and James Storm, as well as ROH's Veda Scott, Cedric Alexander, Lio Rush, and Colby Corino. If WWE or TNA makes the right offer to Scott or Alexander, I can easily see them leaving ROH. They're featured there pretty sporadically due to not being under exclusive contracts. It's also worth noting these shows are co-branded, so people like Hardy and EC3 aren't necessarily working with GFW directly.

WWE Network won a Webby award in the category of streaming sports channels. That's great news for them.

WWE Network has added a collection dedicated to Chyna. She has a decent chance of going into the HoF in 2017. Stranger things have happened (Warrior and Savage come to mind).

A "Camp WWE" cast member (playing Mark Henry) discussed the upcoming show:
- Oh my God I hope Sexual Chocolate Henry is a thing on this show.

- I definitely think Vince will be hilarious. He's a character ripe with potential.

WWE is considering even more DVDs for 2017:
- It would definitely be interesting to hear about the early '90s. That part of the story is often kind of glossed over.

- Oh, man. That Cena DVD description is going to upset the whiners.

- Kane looking back at his career, including his pre-Kane days, would be great. I'm sure there's lots of insight to be shared there.

- Goldberg discussing his (rather short) career would be interesting. I imagine we're not far from him going into the WWE HoF.

- I'd love to hear Vince and Bischoff discuss their rivalry. Same for Taz and Sabu. Those could both be amazing.

- Don't expect Punk to appear in-person on that DVD....

- I like the idea of a History of WWE, although I think some years will be much more interesting than others.

Smackdown's audience Thursday night was 2.11 million going against the NFL draft. That's the lowest viewership number since New Year's Eve.

Arda Ocal, known in WWE as Kyle Edwards, has parted ways with WWE. It sounds like this was a mutual decision. It's unfortunate to hear he's leaving. I think he's a very natural broadcaster with experience and a strong knowledge of the business. I hope he has a lot of good things ahead of him.

TNA has announced two new superstars are joining the roster, and another performer has signed a new deal:
- Robbie E will continue to call TNA home for the foreseeable future. I hope he continues to get valuable experience and exposure. He's got more than 700 matches to his name at the age of 32, so I'd like to think he'd have a chance in NXT/WWE someday if he has to get work outside of TNA. For the time being, I'm glad he's still got a home on TV and is making money.
- Sienna, better known as Allysin Kay, doesn't have a lot of matches to her name right now, but hopefully this is a good next step for her career. It's good to see people like her get chances at a level with the kind of exposure TNA still has in 2016.
- Caleb Konley, known for his work in EVOLVE. He has almost 500 matches and a decade of experience to his name at 32, so it's good to see him get to work at a bigger level.

New NXT superstar Eric Young discussed his debut at the recent taping. Bobby Roode was backstage at that taping, and is expected to also appear in NXT soon. I'm very excited to see both talented veterans join the roster, and hope they have bright futures in WWE. Interestingly enough, Roode and Young appeared a few times for WWE as enhancement talent before TNA was founded. They've both grown a LOT since then.

For my take on yesterday's PWInsider.com questions:
1. Outside of WWE 2K17? I wouldn't put great odds on it. Unless Trish is really itching to get back in the ring and/or it's for a big event in Toronto, I don't see it happening. If she does have one more match, it could just as easily be against Charlotte.

2. They post some content on YouTube, but other than that, iTunes is pretty much your only legal option. I'm sure there are plenty of other outlets to find the episodes online given how many people claim to watch it each week, but I won't be linking them here.

3. I wonder if there's any way WWE could buy the rights and publish it themselves? I don't know how things are between WWE and Mulligan's family given the current concussion lawsuit. Obviously IRS, Bray, and Bo are all employed by WWE, but there are other members of the family involved with that area of things.

4. Ric Flair did a signing at a local store, seemingly out of the blue. This was before he moved from N.C. due to the whole arrest warrant thing.

5. I don't think he covers every show he goes to, so it's possible sometimes he just goes and enjoys the show. Especially if it's a local indie not many people follow/would read about.

More wrestling tomorrow.
