TNA Sacrifice preview

Read on for my ideas for booking tonight's special episode of Impact Wrestling (if it wasn't already taped).

So, four matches have been officially announced. For the rest, I'm going to adlib it. Matches/segments with asterisks are my own inventions.

*Jeff Hardy starts the show putting over the insane match he survived last week with his brother. Ideally, he's not 100% himself, coming out bandaged up. As he's talking about his next step, Reby Sky, Tyrus, Rockstar Spud, and Maxel interrupt him. Reby is absolutely livid at Jeff for putting her husband and the father of her son on the shelf. Spud gets in his face and says if Jeff was 100%, Spud would destroy him right there on the spot. Jeff says not to let that stop him, and they all jump him and do a real number on him until Drew Galloway comes out for the save to set up the main event. Not before Jeff gets an ass-whooping though.

*Maria continues her scheming in the Knockouts division, congratulating Jade for beating Gail and basically taking all the credit for her win. Some tension builds between Jade and Maria before they're interrupted by Marti Bell and Rebel because when you're Dollhouse you're Dollhouse for life and all that. Velvet Sky (still employed at the time this show was taped) and Madison Rayne are tired of hearing about the Dollhouse because they're the dominant Knockouts and blah blah Maria books a tag match.

*Jade/Maria vs. Marti Bell/Rebel vs. Velvet/Madison: Jade gets the win over Velvet after Maria pulls Madison from the apron so she can't tag in. Jade's not pleased at the help. Maria has fun booking the Dollhouse against each other in the weeks to come, and I suppose a Maria vs. Madison feud can happen, too. Gail's busy with Rosemary for now.

*Andrew Everett vs. Eddie Edwards: Everett needs to get on the map in TNA. He gets the win here as Trevor and Helms work over DJ Z at ringside to keep the angle going. Trevor/Everett vs. Edwards/DJ Z in the future.

*Mahabali Shera needs to cut one hell of a promo about how much wrestling means to him. I actually think it'd be good if he told the crowd he's still learning English and the ins and outs of wrestling, but he promises to put his heart into it and all that babyface stuff. The important thing is it needs to be authentic. He's got an uphill battle earning his stripes in the business. At some point, Grado also needs to cut a promo about how he's more than a comedy guy.

- EC3 vs. Mike Bennett: With Drew as champ, EC3 can only go so far as a babyface, unfortunately. As uninspiring as Bennett is, he's one of the few singles heels with any momentum. This would be another crazy ending, since EC3 is pretty much indestructible. Bennett will have to run him over or something to believably beat him. Heck, have Maria bring a stun gun to do the Nash beating Goldberg ending. It definitely shouldn't be a clean win for Miracle Man.

- Beer Money vs. Decay: This is Roode's last show in TNA. So, yeah. We pretty much know how this one's going. Decay does something really hardcore and dastardly to write Roode off and become the new champions. I like the idea of Storm searching for a new partner after this in order to get the title back. He doesn't really have many people to choose from unless they bring in someone new as his beer-drinking buddy. Him teaming with Mandrews, Pepper Parks, or Marshe Rockett is worth a shot as a short-term thing to see if it works.

- Eric Young vs. Bram: EY's another guy out the door. Bram wins with 13 1/2 piledrivers to send his former partner off. I'm only slightly exaggerating. EY's a pretty credible opponent, and they need to show Bram can be a top name in his absence. I can support Bram as a wrestler given TNA's limited options while stile condemning what he's done outside the ring.

- Drew Galloway vs. Tyrus: The goal of this match should be to show Tyrus is a game competitor for the World Title, and it wouldn't be a stretch for him to hold the title at some point. Jeff returns with a chair (or Willow in his place if you want to sell some umbrellas) to stop Spud and Reby from getting involved at the end, and Drew gets the win to keep the title around his own waist.

More wrestling coming up.
