NXT live event notes, Interview with Xavier, Sin Cara grants a wish, more on Mulligan's passing, TNA sued over new faction, new WWN/EVOLVE signing, more Lio, WWE tries to shut down concussion suits, ROH PPVs announced, Smackdown/HoF audiences, and Questions on Bischoff in the WWE Hall, Sunny in rehab, WWE Network airing EVOLVE, HoF speeches, next year's HoF headliner, and Bryan's small package

Notes from NXT's North Carolina debut:
- No Way Jose won.

- John Skyler lost to Elias Samson. I'm under the impression Skyler's not under contract, just working as an enhancement talent.

- Alex Riley beat Blake. No Murphy or Alexa.

- Eva Marie beat Carmella, so those two are at least working NXT for now.

- Austin Aries beat Manny Andrade (formerly La Sombra).

- Two fans got engaged.

- Baron Corbin teamed with Tye Dillinger in a loss to Balor and Nakamura.

- Finn Balor held up a sign after the match asking where Doc and Karl are. They're just going to keep teasing those two, aren't they?

Everything else from yesterday is after the break.

IGN interviewed Xavier Woods about his WM32 entrance. It was pretty funny.

Sin Cara granted a wish in Houston before Smackdown.

Ric Flair remembered Blackjack Mulligan on Facebook.

TNA has received a cease and desist letter regarding Crazzy Steve and the Decay. An Ohio indy wrestler is claiming Steve's character and the stable are infringing on his own work as Krimson and his faction the Dead Wrestling Society. TNA could face face further legal actions if they continue using the character/faction. The Decay are a rising act in TNA, so this could be a significant problem. They definitely don't want to be in a costly legal battle given the financial situation they're in right now.

WWN has officially signed Matt Riddle. The feeling is he's on WWE's radar to eventually join NXT, but for now he's getting experience as a worker.

Lio Rush will be working EVOLVE's May shows, so he's not exclusive to ROH. He's in demand right now it seems.

WWE is looking to have the remaining concussion lawsuits against them dismissed. They raise a number of solid points in their defense.

ROH Death Before Dishonor will be on PPV August 19 from Las Vegas, featuring talents from NJPW. There will be a TV taping the next night.

- ROH All Star Extravaganza VIII will be on PPV September 30 from Boston, also featuring NJPW names and followed by a TV taping the next night. So, things keep on keeping on for ROH and NJPW.

Smackdown's audience Thursday was 2.44 million for the first show after Wrestlemania. That's more or less in line with what they normally do.

The WWE Hall of Fame broadcast drew 1.68 million viewers. That seems like a pretty good number.

For my take on yesterday's PWInsider.com questions:
1. Pretty high considering he was recently on Legends with JBL. I think it's safe to say he's back on good terms with the company, and he's a no-brainer as an important force in wrestling history.

2. It's possible those others didn't know PWInsider had already reported it. Either that or they felt it was also newsworthy, so they ran it on their own outlets. Just because someone else got to it first, I think it's still something TMZ would/should cover.

3. I think EVOLVE would be willing to consider that given their streaming issues. That could be a good move for both sides, although I wonder if it would be worth the damage to WWN's own streaming services. I don't know what Vince would think of it, but I think it's a distinct possibility.

4. There are a number of candidates based on what era of wrestling you're most fond of.

5. Bryan's a pretty obvious direction to go. If there's another high-profile retirement, that's a possibility as well.

6. I think it was pretty clever, since no one was expecting it. That's a nice departure from the crazy finisher spam we see today.

More wrestling tomorrow.
