GFW promotes European content deal, WWN tryout for NXT spot, Cornette-GFW update, Interviews with Davey/Robbie/Roode/Titus/Santino, Smackdown audience, even more 2K18 names revealed, WWE in French in Canada, assorted WWE press, new DBD matches, internal GFW updates, more on Jarretts-GFW, NXT alum returns, and Questions on Raw on Christmas, Homicide, Corgan-NWA, and ECW wrestlers in 2K games

GFW promoted Impact coming to a European OTT service. It's good they'll be on the air for Germany, Austria, and Switzerland, although they'd obviously prefer a paying TV deal, and they really need income right now.

Norman Smiley will be at WWN's September 22 tryout in Michigan, where at least one person will be booked to be featured on NXT. Even those who don't get that opportunity could end up on WWE's radar. That's great for both sides.

Jim Cornette is booked for Bound For Glory, but it's unknown if he'll work the TV tapings afterward.  Insert your own joke on if anyone will be working the tapings.

Davey Richards discussed leaving wrestling to be a doctor. He'll still be taking some indie bookings as his schedule allows. I'm glad he's able to pursue a lucrative career instead of having to take regular bumps to pay the bills. Good for him.

Robbie E promoted his Muscle & Fitness videos with USA Today and The Sporting News. He's getting good press from that endeavor.

Smackdown drew 2.58 million viewers this week, so the show with Orton vs. Nakamura got them a nice bump.

WWE 2K18 has added a lot of wrestlers to the roster, including Batista, Billie Kay, Brian Kendrick, Peyton Royce, Booker T., Christian, the Colons, Gran Metalik, Jack Gallagher, JBL, Kasius Ohno, No Way Jose, Noam Dar, Rich Swann, RVD, Shane & Stephanie McMahon, HBK, Trish Stratus, Typhoon, Tyson Kidd, and Ultimate Warrior. 2K has a LOT of people to put in the game each year.

WWE is getting a one-hour French-language version of Raw in Canada starting in October. That's nice for Francophones up there to have in addition to the full version in English.

The Rock put Jinder & The Singhs over on Twitter. I love him still having passion for the business.

Bobby Roode talked before his final NXT shows. He's a long way from when he worked Sunday Night Heat!

Destiny 2 made a reference to The Broken Universe. I love those little Easter eggs.

Andre The Giant and Vince McMahon are referenced in the movie "Chuck," which features footage from Chuck Wepner facing Andre in a boxing vs. wrestling match. Andre had a big cultural impact outside of wrestling. That's how much of a spectacle he was.

Ric Flair is changing representation. It's unknown if this decision is related to his now-former agents' work during his recent/ongoing health crisis, but certainly the timing would line up.

Titus O'Neil talked to UPROXX. He's getting pretty good mainstream press.

WWE.com caught up with Santino Marella. I miss him a lot, although characters like Slater, Breezango, and Ellsworth have been pretty entertaining in his absence.

NXT is postponing Florida events set for this weekend and next weekend as Hurricane Irma approaches. That's how scary things are down there.

Some updates on Death Before Dishonor:
- The Kingdom vs. Bully Ray & The Briscoes will take place the same night as the winning team challenging for the ROH Six-Man Tag Team Championship. So, there's an opportunity for Vinny, TK, & Taven to win two matches in one night and have a crowning achievement.
- Jay Lethal vs. Silas Young in a Last Man Standing match
- Jay White vs. Punishment Martinez in a Las Vegas Street Fight
-- The card is shaping up pretty well.

GFW's creative team is now John Gaburick, Sonjay Dutt, and Scott D'Amore, with Dutch Mantel, Jeremy Borash, and Abyss assisting. Gaburick is said not to be "in charge" of creative, just a member of the team.

GFW is continuing with "business as usual" despite the word of Anthem looking to sell the company. That makes sense; I don't expect everyone to just stop everything they're doing while things play out above their heads.

GFW headquarters will remain in Nashville for the time being. There has often been speculation of moving the offices to Anthem as part of the takeover, but there are no plans for it to happen right now. Certainly, if Anthem is looking to get rid of the company, they're not going to move personnel to Ontario.

Karen Jarrett is still attached to GFW. Her future remains open. I imagine she's waiting for Jeff's next steps.

- Jeff is now actively seeking bookings and teasing new projects, so he's planning a future independent of GFW.

- GFW has moved Jeff to the alumni section of their website, so it looks like the "leave of absence" isn't temporary after all. His angle with America's Top Team was dropped from this week's episode of Impact, so they're moving on without him. The next few months are going to be key for the company's future.

Tye Dillinger worked an NXT live event in New York, beating Kona Reeves. I assume this was just a special surprise, since they're now actually featuring him on Smackdown.

For my take on yesterday's PWInsider.com questions:
1. It's going to be tough to get a big crowd on Christmas Day, on TV and in the arena. I hope the gamble is worth it.

2. Make your own joke about whether there will be a company to come back to. GFW didn't think he was needed on the shows; it's not like they don't have plenty of other members of LAX!

3. I'm interested to see what this will mean for the wrestling business, and if Corgan would entertain the idea of putting in a bid for GFW assets as well. It would depend on how much time and money he wants to invest in the business.

Nothing to add to 4.

5. 2K doesn't show ECW much love, unfortunately.

More wrestling tomorrow.
