Raw Reax - 9/4/17

Read on for my thoughts on last night's Raw.
- Cena vs. Jordan:
Wow, they're jumping right into a big match for Jason! Damn.

Jason's got skills.

Wow. This is solid already.

I'm excited for this. Cena's a good dance partner for just about anyone.

I'm loving all the counters here.

This is REALLY good. Jason's getting to shine against a great worker.

THAT was cool. I hope we get a rematch.

- Cena/Reigns:
Wow, dude. Way to bury your PPV opponent.

Jordan probably did better than Conor McGregor did against Mayweather.

That match was good, and they're totally underselling it.

I hope it's Creative telling Roman to curse, because it's SO lame.

Cena's schooling Roman. He has less pressure to be the PG Face of the Company now, so he can go back to having an edge.

Cena throwing his own performance under the bus is dumb.

I do like the acknowledgement of how many opportunities Roman gets.

I'm liking Cena getting so much in on Roman.

I like smug Roman. He can effectively get his supporters behind him and his detractors to boo him.

That was mostly fun.

- Sheamus/Cesaro vs. Rhyno/Slater:
Glad to see Rhyno and Slater in action again. They're a fun team.

Slater winning with a rollup would have been insane.

This is good so far.

Remember when Rhyno was a big force to be reckoned with? He's not as effective in a world where guys like Joe and Strowman (and even Sheamus) exist.

That was pretty good overall!

- Hardys interview:
This is pretty good. Their characters here are fun.

I'm liking this version of the Hardys. I honestly think the Broken stuff was getting stale as it was.

- J. Hardy vs. Miz:
This is better wrestling than I expected from Jeff.

Miz does his best work when he can play off someone else, whether that's Riley or Mizdow or his current friends.

Of course everyone else is getting involved now.

This is solid. These two know each other well.

Good Figure Four spot.

NICE spot with Miz saving himself with the bottom rope.

Jeff flies off anything and everything.

I figured we'd see Maryse save her man.

NICE ending sequence. I liked how they worked together.

- Kurt/Nia/Emma:
Right?? Nia has been waiting a LONG time to get a title match.

Emma just keeps getting herself into trouble!

Well, that's one way to get yourself into a title match!

- Enzo interview:
Fitting for Enzo to steal a line from Eddie Guerrero, since that's what Eddie did so well.

And another homage to a former WWE name!

And... maybe a Matt Striker reference? I didn't see that one coming.

Enzo coming to 205 Live is a much needed breath of fresh air.

- Noam/Gulak/Nese vs. Enzo/Cedric/Metalik:
Nice athleticism as always.

I'm liking all the holds.

Dar's so good at such a young age. It's almost not fair.

That was pretty fun for the time it had.

- Sasha/Alexa:
I love Alexa playing Sasha as a friend to beat Nia and Emma.

I like the tension here.

Solid segment.

- Finn/Bray:
Finn's already been pretty successful, title-wise.

Bray's about more than winning matches and titles. I like it.

I'm waiting for Wyatt to try to control Finn's Demon side.

Bray had a weird childhood...

Bray's pretty chilling. I like it.

I don't know how interesting Bray vs. Finn will be without The Demon, but I think it will be good.

Pretty cool overall.

- Alexa/Sasha vs. Emma/Nia:
Nia's a lot of fun in the ring.

I'm glad Emma's getting a long match on Raw.

Emma vs. Sasha would be fun.

Pretty solid so far.

Sasha and Alexa make a pretty fun team, actually.

I love how they set up Nia vs. Alexa.

Alexa can do more with her facial expressions and mannerisms than a lot of wrestlers do with 500 moves.

Good work here.

That was really fun! Glad Emma and Nia are in the title picture.

- Post-match:
HAHAAHAH I didn't think Nia would appreciate Emma getting the pinfall.

Nice to continue the build to No Mercy.

- Braun interview:
Braun is a pure force of nature.

Locking Show in there with Braun is a liability!!

He's got a good point. Brock barely shows up, much less have matches outside of PPVs.

- Ambrose/Seth vs. Club:
This is something a lot of fans wanted to see when Karl and Luke were in Japan.

Nice start.

Seth and Dean are a lot of fun together.

The Club are impressing me more lately.

This is pretty solid overall.

Everyone's working together well.

Not bad! I assume we're in for a triple threat after that ending.

- Post-match:
Ha. Don't mess with Sheamus and Cesaro! They REALLY need a team name at this point.

- Enzo/Cedric/Metalik/Neville:
Enzo's priorities are accurately portrayed there.

Looks like we're in for a long match on 205 Live. As much as I like Enzo, I don't know if he should be beating everyone else on the show just yet.

I like Neville's machinations there.

- Ref interview:
I LOVE the selling of how this is such a big clash. This should really be something.

- Show interview:
Show has definitely turned himself around in this run. I'm really enjoying the Farewell Tour.

Big Show has had more than 2500 matches in his career. Braun is just past 250.

This is good. He's motivated.

It's going to be tough to finally eradicate Show when the time comes. He might just disappear like Kane and Henry.

Good work.

- Braun vs. Show:
This is like Godzilla vs. King Kong.

I'm fine with two guys just slugging it out. We just had Seth and Dean fly around all over the place and some great wrestling between Jordan and Cena to start things.

The World's Largest Elbow Drop!!!

I really don't want this to end by escape unless there's a big ass-kicking first.

The cage is definitely a weapon here. I'll pop if someone gets sent through it.

Glad Braun got the DDT there. I do like them indicating Show has a chance to win.

It's going to take a lot to beat either man!

Fun so far.

OH MY WHAT A SUPERPLEX!!!!

Pretty cool for Braun to show he's ready for Brock. That match should be off the charts.

- Post-match:
Beast vs. Monster has me REALLY Excited.

Oh shit, Braun's not done!

OOOOHHHHH SSSHHHIIIITTTTTTTT. That's great! I'm glad they saved that for after the match, because Show would have won by escape if it happened before the pinfall.

That was really cool. Show's really redeeming himself with this last stretch of his career.

More wrestling coming up.
