NXT angle at Takeover, Interview with Dana Brooke, Kylie comments on leaving AEW, Corey takes shots at Mauro, Starr profiled, Stardom name retiring, and Questions on ROH's status, Khan vs. Orton, Punk going to AEW while on Backstage, and AEW ref botches

After Takeover:WarGames, Lio Rush attacked Angel Garza. I assume NXT will continue that angle, since Survivor Series didn't.

Dana Brooke spoke to Imagista.

Kylie Rae commented on leaving AEW. I'm glad she's back in wrestling.

Corey Graves jabbed at Mauro Ranallo during Takeover:WarGames, criticizing him for overshadowing the other commentators and making too many pop culture references. That's bold given Mauro's popularity for his enthusiasm. I agree with the criticisms, but he's going to get a ton of backlash for them, especially given their public nature.

- Mauro Ranallo's manager Frank Shamrock responded. Yeah that's pretty heavy for someone criticizing a coworker's job performance. Mauro's really put on a pedestal. He's an inspiration given his mental health struggles, but that shouldn't shield him from being evaluated critically.

- Mauro deleted his Twitter account after this incident. It's unknown if the two circumstances are related. It would definitely be good to keep tabs here on Mauro given his history; it's possible this criticism really hit to the bone in a way that affects his health.

David Starr's unionization efforts were covered. It's a very political piece.

Stardom's Hazuki has announced her retirement for December 24. At 22 and right on the cusp of Stardom's new ownership taking control, that's a surprise. She could really have excelled.

For my take on yesterday's PWInsider.com questions:
1. This is basically a repeat, but they've been overtaken by AEW, NJPW, and NXT, all outlets that are passionate about making a wrestling product and putting a lot of money toward expanding their brands. ROH doesn't have a Tony Khan, Triple H, or Harold Meij pushing it to what it can be.

2. Honestly probably not. I'd think there are bigger factors at play in determining which show fans watch.

3. So I don't want to bury Khan by calling him a baby as this question did, but I do think he looked poorly in that situation, especially bringing up the false Saudi story (which, sadly, continues to be parroted by journalists whose reputations are eroding as a result). I really, really wonder what happens if AEW starts getting regularly beaten by NXT or otherwise loses support. Khan's shown he can be a cheerleader for his friends, but I don't know if he can be a warrior who survives the long haul when things stop being as fun. I'd love to be wrong there.

4. It didn't look like there was much of a chance of him going to AEW regardless.

5. There have definitely been some hiccups in that department. AEW's focus is on the in-ring action, and sometimes the "this is a real match with real rules" aspect gets thrown out the window in favor of what they want to showcase.

More wrestling tomorrow.
