Kayfabe alive at WWE live event, special NXT this week, Rex remembered, Reigns-Corbin stipulation, top WWE name hurt, more 24/7 title switches, and Questions on AXS dropping NJPW, NXT during Mania week, Andrade winning the title, and Braun at a convention

The Revival made a young fan cry at a WWE live event. Lucha House Party made up for it. Classic!

NXT this week will feature the Year End Awards, top Takeover matches, and the announcement of Dusty Classic competitors. I assume that means no fresh matches. AEW should benefit from the "off" week from the brand.

Moondog Rex was remembered in South Carolina. Good piece.

WWE is advertising "Loser Eats Dog Food" matches between Roman Reigns and Baron Corbin on live events beginning January 4. Well that's certainly something unique! I still want to see a dog collar match.

Randy Orton was reportedly injured at a live event this weekend, as the referee stopped his match with AJ Styles and he was helped to the back after how he landed on his knee. That really sounds rough. I hope he's able to recover for WrestleMania.

R-Truth and the Singh Brothers added more 24/7 Championship reigns Saturday and Sunday:
- On Saturday, R-Truth lost the title to Samir Singh before retaining it.
- On Sunday, R-Truth lost the title to Sunil Singh, who then lost the title to Samir Singh, who then lost the title back to R-Truth. The 7/11 I-85 Television Title is a very fought-after championship!

For my take on yesterday's PWInsider.com questions:
1. I haven't kept track of it in the slightest.

2. NJPW was actually doing well for AXS, but Anthem wanted to prioritize the wrestling company they own. I see what they're thinking there, but I can't help but wonder if they sabotaged themselves by cutting such a popular program. It is worth noting AXS dropped a lot of production staff when Anthem came aboard, since they already had people doing that work. Those who were cut were responsible for handling NJPW footage. I don't think there were ever any plans to have the current staff produce Impact and NJPW.

3. There has not been an announcement regarding NXT's location that week. It's possible a decision hasn't been made yet. It's also possible that week is just a hype show before Takeover.

4. No. They did a rematch the next night with Andrade retaining.

5. WWE is willing to have their talent appear at outside conventions for the right price and the right conditions (i.e. no AEW talent at the same place).

More wrestling tomorrow.
