Wrestle Kingdom 14 has added:
On January 4:
- KENTA vs. Hirooki Goto for the NEVER Openweight Championship
- Zack Sabre, Jr. vs. SANADA for the RevPro British Heavyweight Championship

On January 5:
- Jushin "Thunder" Liger and Naoki Sano (with Yoshiaki Fujiwara) vs. Ryu Lee and Hiromu Takahashi in Liger's final match
- Juice Robinson challenging for the IWGP United States Championship

Ryu Lee, known as Dragon Lee in CMLL, has signed with NJPW for a year. We'll see what his future holds for him in ROH since he has a TV title match coming up.

WWE's Sunday releases will have 90-day no-compete clauses, as is standard.

Braun Strowman missed live events this weekend due to a back issue. He isn't expected to miss long.

NXT's Shane Thorne will be a trainer for Australia's EPW Super Camp from January 6 through January 10. That's pretty cool.

Chris Jericho vs. Jungle Boy is a non-title ten minute challenge.

NJPW's Hiromu Takahashi is returning to the ring on December 19, teaming with BUSHI against Will Ospreay and Robbie Eagles.

Toni Storm is on Lilian Garcia's latest podcast.

WWE's Hall of Fame Class of 2020 will be headlined by Batista and the New World Order of Hulk Hogan, Kevin Nash, Scott Hall, and Sean Waltman. Those are definitely big announcements! Interesting that Sean is included with the main three, although of course he's associated with the group.

- Batista commented on the induction, and chose Fit Finlay as his inductor.

- Triple H also commented on Batista's induction.

Impact's Dave Sahadi is continuing to work in MLW.

MLW is planning to make the Opera Cup an annual event. The event got international press due to George Napolitano shooting photos at ringside.

American Top Team were at MLW Opera Cup.

Dynamite is set for Alabama on February 5 and Texas on February 12. The Alabama show will be at the site of old weekly NWATNA PPVs.

New Day's second podcast revealed that Titus O'Neil was pitched to be part of the group. Not sure if that would have had the same magic, though we have seen some really fun moments from him.

AEW officially announced the signings of Big Swole and Kris Statlander.

NXT has announced live events for:
- February 7 in Arizona
- February 8 in Nevada
- February 9 in California

Takeover:Tampa Bay is official for the night before WrestleMania. I'm curious what they'll have that night, and if there will be any competition from other parties.

Erick Rowan said goodbye to Luke Harper and The Ascension. That could have been an interesting faction.

The Rock put over Booker T. after Booker complimented him on a recent podcast. Cool to see.

Sami Zayn confronted a fan at a WWE live event who used a homophobic slur, leading to that fan's ejection from the event. WWE wants their shows to be family friendly as far as language like that is concerned.

Mike Tyson, Pete Rose, and Bret Hart are set for WrestleCon. Good to see those first two there.

NJPW has announced events for:
- January 24 and January 30 in Florida
- January 26 in Tennessee
- January 27 in North Carolina
- February 1 in Georgia
-- That's an interesting travel loop, but I guess they're still kind of getting things in order in that department.

For my take on yesterday's PWInsider.com questions:
1. Let's wait and see if there's any followup with his wife. They did address him being married, so they are taking the direction he's trying to play her.

2. That's unfortunate. HOH seems to have lost some momentum, but on the flip side Dreamer's still doing quite a bit in the wrestling business.

3. Poor Impact and ROH didn't even get mentioned! I think each show/brand has its highlights. I can't think of anything I don't like in NXT. Everything there is quite polished. Raw under Heyman has definitely improved and is generally pretty enjoyable. AEW has parts I really enjoy and some parts I really cringe at. Smackdown, other than The Fiend, hasn't been very good lately overall compared to the other shows, which seem to have a lot more energy. Smackdown feels very "paint by numbers standard WWE episode" these days.

4. As far as him never wrestling again, it's way too early to tell, but it certainly looks like he's taking a break for now. That's a shame, too. I hope he's got something else lined up because those bills aren't going to stop coming!

5. Keith is amazing. They need to put a rocket on him.

More wrestling tomorrow.
