Bret Hart in WCW, a Goldust DVD?, active Hall of Famers, Knockouts' pay, Venis-Hardy... again, Cena not at Supershow

And here's the news for Sunday:

First up, questions from PWInsider.com. The first one's about Bret Hart making millions of dollars for WCW. The exact figure isn't known apparently, but suffice to say it's pretty much agreed that they spent a whole lot of money for him and didn't use him very well.

Next, someone asks if we'll ever see a Goldust DVD. I think that'd be a great idea! Maybe have one DVD on Dustin Rhodes (in WCW and the like) and another on his run as Goldust. So yeah, I think that will happen at some point down the line.

Someone asks about wrestlers remaining active after being inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame. If you consider Ric Flair active, he'd apply. I don't know how often Jimmy Snuka wrestles. Steamboat, Hogan, and Mae Young have all wrestled post-induction as well.

The next story is about the pay of TNA Knockouts vs. their male competitors.

Simply put, despite being solid ratings draws, the Knockouts do NOT make as much as TNA's male wrestlers. Supposedly some Knockouts make less than $500 per show. Taylor Wilde worked at Sunglass Hut while she was Knockouts Champion (link). Tara, Gail Kim, and Awesome Kong have all asked for raises and had been denied, leading to them leaving TNA (Tara has since returned). TNA mid-carders are said to be making in the area of $500 per show as well, according to Chuck Palumbo. And that's only if you're booked on the card. On the other side of the fence, Sting makes $500,000 a year no matter how often he'd booked. Kurt Angle makes $700,000. Other stars also have guaranteed contracts. As much as I like both of them (particularly Angle), the pay difference here is insane.

Sean Morley/Val Venis says that the video Matt Hardy posted yesterday that supposedly shows that his criticism of Matt is fake is fake itself. I'm really beginning to not care at this point.

John Cena was not at tonight's WWE Supershow. He was replaced with Mark Henry. No word on if this is injury related.

Not much news today. I'll be back with more tomorrow.
