John Cena update, Who will win the Rumble?, Kenny Dykstra, The decline of Ric Flair, Jerry Lawler in the ring, Brock Lesnar and X-Division rumor-busters, Slammiversary location, Bischoff on wrestling fans, Miz vs. Edge?, Impact and Superstars ratings

John Cena is back on Raw's house show circuit, meaning that his injury issues are likely behind him.

Next we look at the PWInsider.com questions of the day. First up, who's likely to win the Royal Rumble?

The answers they gave for 3 most likely are Cena, Del Rio, and Morrison. I think I'd switch Morrison with Triple H in the "likely" category. I can't shake the feeling that he'll end up back in the title picture, possibly facing Sheamus then. He certainly doesn't need to be in the title picture or win the Rumble, but you could have said the same thing about Undertaker when he won it.

The next questioner wants to know why Kenny Dykstra ever made it big in WWE. I'd like to know the exact same thing. I think WWE blew it there with not utilizing him. Their answer says that he never got over being an ex-Spirit Squad wrestler. It certainly didn't help. Neither did losing to Triple H in no time flat and being put in a moving van by Jesse and Festus.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who's noticed this, as someone asks about Ric Flair's work going downhill lately. Someone said not too long ago that Flair's become almost a parody of himself in most of his TNA run, and I agree. Some of this I think can be traced to TNA having very loose standards for promos, basically letting everyone do whatever they want on the mic in the time they have. I don't want to see everything overly scripted, but some more direction would be nice. Foley, Flair, and Anderson are particularly bad at "needing an editor" lately. And Flair in the ring is sad at this stage of his career. I wish he could have "let go" of being an in-ring competitor after his match with HBK. Surely there's some other role he can have in TNA?

Someone else asks about Ted DiBiase's de-push. There's still no word on why this has happened, and he doesn't have heat with anyone that we know of.

Next they're asked why Jerry Lawler is wrestling so much lately. They think that WWE's building up to King vs. Cole and/or a match for him at WrestleMania. Lawler was promised a Mania match years ago, and he's never wrestled at the big show, so it could happen. King vs. A-Ri maybe? Can WWE keep the feud between Miz, King, and Cole going that long though?

Apparently, The Wrestling Observer is stating that Vince McMahon believes that Brock Lesnar will face The Undertaker at WrestleMania. UFC boss Dana White shot this down, again. Here you have a reason that I don't use The Wrestling Observer as a source for wrestling news.

This year's TNA Slammiversary will be held in Orlando, Florida. Previous installments have been held outside of the Impact Zone.

Dixie Carter comments again on the rumor about the X-Division, which PWTorch.com claims was verified by multiple sources in TNA. She says that she's looking to beef up the division with new and familiar faces. I continue to believe that they have enough directionless wrestlers in the midcard already, and a bigger X-Division will only crowd the show even more. I also find the X-Division label limiting. If TNA had another hour of wrestling every week and the division drew better ratings than other things they could put in that time, I don't think I'd mind as much from a "business" viewpoint.

PWInsider.com reports that there were NO indications that TNA was discussing dropping the X-Division. They tend to be more accurate than PWTorch.com.

Here's a quote to all you wrestling fans from Eric Bischoff's Twitter page:  FYI: I have enough money, enough success OUTSIDE OF WRESTLING that I dont give 2 sh*ts if I offend "wrestling fans". Keep in mind that he's involved with a wrestling company that needs wrestling fans to survive. Some internet wrestling fans and dirtsheet writers have been pushing his buttons apparently, but can you imagine what would happen if someone in WWE tweeted that? It just doesn't look good for you or your company when you make statements like that. Don't count on him being disciplined over it though.

WWE Champion The Miz is open to a match with World Champion Edge to unify WWE's top titles at WrestleMania. There are no plans of this at this time. Personally, I like that each show has its own champion. Some people wouldn't get the boost of being a World Champion if twice as many people were competing for one World Title. It'd be harder for new blood to break into the title scene as well. I see no reason to combine those two titles.

Last night's Impact did a 1.25 rating coming off of Mr. Anderson's title win and Matt Hardy's debut at Genesis. Interest will hopefully rise for the new "They" angle. If you build (to) it, they will come.

Superstars did a .58, with a .2 in the 11 p.m. replay spot. Not much to say there as usual.

That's all for tonight. More news tomorrow.
