Cena still on for Raw?, latest WWE lawsuit in trouble, Will Kim leave WWE?, Should Morrison win the Rumble?, Strange wrestling venue, Ross or Funk?, Impact and Superstars ratings

The first news story of the day is that John Cena is still scheduled to compete in a dark match after Raw on Monday. The card is always subject to change, and he's not working this weekend's house shows, so don't be surprised if this one changes.

Read on for why the fan lawsuit against WWE, Triple H, and The Rock could be in serious trouble.

According to PWInsider by way of TMZ, the 18 year-old fan who's suing WWE for leg injuries allegedly suffered when he was 7 not only went on to play high school football, but also stock car racing. He's had at least one crash there. After the lawsuit was filed, the pictures of him racing on Facebook were removed. His lawyer responded that the plaintiff has a long history of knee problems, and that as far as he knew he never injured his knee racing cars.

It's certainly possible that this is a coincidence, and that he did suffer those injuries as a 7 year-old, but this has got to introduce some doubt into the picture. WWE's lawyers are not going to let this one slide.

On to PWInsider.com's questions. Someone wants to know how long it will be for Gail Kim asks for her release from WWE because of how "misused" she is. She knew when she went back there that she wasn't going to be pushed to the level that she was in TNA, but that she'd get much better pay. I don't see why she'd leave at this point unless she's really unhappy with her push. There hasn't been anything to suggest that she'll leave any time soon.

Someone asks if John Morrison should win the Royal Rumble. I like John Morrison a lot, but I don't think he's quite ready to win the Rumble or headline WrestleMania. He might be better served winning Money in the Bank at either Mania (if they'll still have one there) or at its PPV. Either way, I hope he gets a chance to show what he can do on his way to main event level. But maybe not by winning the Rumble.

Is WWE running out of venues to stage WrestleMania? I don't see how anyone got that impression. Cities vie for Mania, so they have a decent amount to choose from.

Buck Woodward says that the strangest place a wrestling show has ever taken place is a floating platform in a swimming pool. I can't think of anything to top that one!

And in one of the craziest questions I've ever seen asked, someone asks about a house being on fire and only JR or Terry Funk can be saved. I say, from a business standpoint, that you rescue Ross as he has more to give to the industry at this stage of his career. I think age would come into account too. Weird question to think about and I hope that never happens!

Last night's Impact did a 1.16 rating. Not too bad. Par for the course for them. Superstars' ratings continue to fluctuate. This week they did a .58, with the replay doing a .16. Also pretty much par for the course.

That's all for today. I had trouble getting tonight's Smackdown to load on YouTube, so it will be a little while longer before I get my thoughts on it up here. Sorry for the delay! Whatever news Saturday has (it's generally slow for news) will be up tomorrow.
