Goldust's return plan, groups in TNA, Autobiographies I'd like to see, a third "They"?, Lockdown down location, Johnny Heidman passes, Flair returns, Jake Roberts interview, Hogan update, an odd Rumble Return?, Nitro DVD confimed, WWE Trademark issue, another JR-WWE appearance

We start today's news with an interview with Goldust. He's targeting June for a return date from his shoulder injury. He pitched a big feud with Cody as something left on his "to do" list in wrestling. He wants to come back strong this year, and work a full year in 2012. That could be his last run. I really like the idea of him putting his half-brother over in his last big feud. Put Goldust on Smackdown at some point, and I think that could work out well.

Today brings more questions on PWInsider.com. The first one's just a rant about Eric Bischoff and not even a question. Suffice to say that the IWC thinks he's more hype than substance. I don't know enough about his WCW days to say for sure. All I hear is negative opinions on the internet about his time there, years after the fact, so I don't have any "first-hand knowledge" of following things then.

Another questioner talks about how someone always seems to be "coming" in TNA lately with both iterations of "They". TNA got a nice ratings pop after the reveal of Immortal, so they're trying to recreate that with this new group. Any tease of something new in TNA draws interest.

More questions and news after the break.

Next someone asks what wrestling autobiographies (that aren't already out or in the works) that I'd like to see. Kevin Nash, Randy Savage, Paul Bearer, and The Undertaker all come to mind.

Then someone asks about Bret Hart possibly inducting Shawn Michaels into the Hall of Fame. Hart would do it if asked and HBK has said in the past that that's who he'd want to induct him. As I've said, I'd love for that to happen to bring their rivalry to a respectful close.

Finally someone wants TNA to bring in a third "They" group of Knockouts talent taking over the division. I don't really see much of a point, seeing as how the Knockouts are already getting over pretty well and there's no need for an overhaul of that division.

TNA Lockdown will be in Cincinnati this year. That's part of the reason they're trying to get the cage match with Chad Ochocinco.

Old-school  wrestler Johhny Heidman passed away recently at the age of 90.

Ric Flair returned to the TNA European tour for the show in Scotland. He apologized to the TNA locker room for the incident in Dublin.

Jake "The Snake" Roberts has a new interview up, in which he talks about his upcoming retirement. He mentions the toll that injuries have taken on him over the years, including having to have part of his foot removed. He wants to start his own wrestling school, focusing on "actual wrestling" instead of highspots. Will he be seen as coherent enough to teach there?

He talks about writing two books: an autobiography and a book on addiction.

He thinks that the decision of WWE to not hire anyone over the age of 30 is "bullsh-t". It is rather short-sighted.

Hulk Hogan has had to reschedule an appearance of himself and his friends to May as a result of his ongoing recovery from surgery.

Wade Barrett told fans on Twitter that Papa Shango would be making an appearance in the Royal Rumble. That would be simultaneously a bad idea and a hilarious one. He was likely kidding. Papa Shango was an earlier gimmick for the man who became The Godfather. It was similar to The Boogeyman.

WWE's Best of Nitro DVD will indeed be hosted by Diamond Dallas Page, and will be 3 discs spanning from 1995-2001.

Radio personalities John Boy and Billy are trying to oppose WWE's trademark for "Big Show" because that's what they call their radio show. How are they just now finding out about this? Surely WWE's had it trademarked before now? Show's been there since 1999!

Jim Ross will be the guest ring announcer for a dark match after Raw in Oklahoma. No, this doesn't mean he's coming back to be a full-time or even part-time ring announcer.

That's all the news for today. More to come tomorrow.
