Note: Tonight's  NXT column has been delayed until I catch a replay of the show due to temporary problems with my internet connection.

Today's first news story is that Jeff Hardy will be working this week's Impact tapings. It's possible that they'll "wrap up" his storylines here before his sentencing on the 20th.

John Cena wrestled in a tag team match as advertised after Raw went off the air, showing no signs of injury. Any updates on his condition will be noted here.

WWE Superstars will now be shown in more markets in the United States, due to WGN America being picked up by more places with Time Warner Cable. This includes New York City. Again, always good for a show to get more TV exposure.

After the break, I look at PWInsider.com questions.

Link to PWInsider.com's questions
The first question asks about the new (Jeff Hardy) design for the TNA Championship. I would think that they'd go back to the other design now that Anderson is champion. At least, I hope they do. I don't think I've heard anyone online who liked the design that they had for Hardy's belt.

The next question asks if there will be anymore "headliners" in this year's Hall of Fame class. You never know. I don't think anyone will get nearly the push that Michaels has, but there could be a pleasant surprise or two. Don't get your hopes up for Bruno Sammartino or Randy Savage though.

Someone asks when the last time was that someone used a Royal Rumble win to be springboarded into the main event instead of being already in the main event picture. Let's see here, Rey Mysterio, Batista and Chris Benoit all come to mind as people who weren't as high up on the card as The Undertaker, Randy Orton, or John Cena with their wins.

One reason that Shawn Michaels was announced as a Hall of Famer so soon was to sell more tickets to the ceremony. It's going to be in an arena, so there are a lot of seats to fill. This is a major problem with having inductees every year. You have to make sure there are enough "names" to keep modern fans interested. And you have to put in more than a handful. It's a mess sometimes.

John Cena says that he was actually fined for profanity after cursing on TV the night after he was "fired". I think it was just one word thrown in there in a way like "I'm fired anyway, so what else can they do to me?" He can surely afford a few fines.

Stevie Richards has left TNA of his own free will. He hadn't been used in some time following the end of the EV2 angle. I liked Richards back "in the day" but once the Dr. Stevie character had run its course and the EV2 angle ended, I didn't see any reason to keep him around. Not that I disliked him; it's just time for fresher acts and younger talents to be featured. No word on what he'll do in the future. He has a column on tech stuff and worked on TNA's website for a while, so maybe that's where he's headed.

Jesse Neal has signed a new 3-year deal with TNA. Neal's a decent enough wrestler, but I don't know if I'd have signed for 3 whole years at this point. We'll see what the future holds for him.

Desmond Wolfe has been backstage at this week's TV tapings, so a return could be imminent.

WWE has turned down several applicants looking to wrestle there, as they are apparently only interested in hiring talents under the age of 30, primarily to put through their developmental program. While I'm in support of some of the "youth movement" they're undergoing, I think they should at least give some of these older talents a chance. While age isn't "just a number", sometimes you'll have some solid talents who are older than most when they get into the business. I hope WWE reconsiders this or at least that they don't miss any big talents by this (unofficial) ruling.

Raw did a 3.1 last night, which is looked at as a pretty strong number going up against the BCS Championship game. Raw's gotten a shot in the arm lately. I hope they keep it up.

Any chances of Brock Lesnar returning to WWE are pretty much dead as it's been announced that he will be a coach on The Ultimate Fighter. I don't think we'll get any further clarification on whether Brock can be a "guest referee" or special appearance at WrestleMania. I wouldn't count on it at this point.

ROH headliner El Generico received a tryout with The Amazing Red at the recent Impact tapings. He's under contract with ROH but was given permission to work the show. TJ Perkins, who wrestled as Puma in TNA, is expected to receive a tryout of his own shortly. I saw Generico wrestle once in a tag match, so I can't tell you too much about his style other than it's similar to the other X-Division high-flyers. I liked Puma the few times I saw him in TNA. He reminded me of Rey Mysterio in some ways. Both men are 26.

Matt Hardy has been removed from the Alumni section of WWE.com, a standard move for when someone on that list goes to TNA.

WWE is wrapping up its casting for the new Tough Enough. All submissions must be turned in by Friday.

Ring of Honor will no longer have its TV show on HDNet after April. It's a case of neither side drawing much additional exposure from the other, as neither have much market exposure. ROH's final TV tapings will be later this month. ROH is free to look for a new TV outlet, and there are possibilities of HDNet carrying ROH-themed content in the future. This isn't the first time that ROH has split ways with a company after not producing enough revenue. They used to have PPV events like WWE and TNA, but weren't making much money off of them so now they're sticking to the Internet for them. Maybe ROH's style isn't what the mainstream wants after all?

That's it for today. More news tomorrow and NXT coverage when it's available.
