Val Venis shoots, Lacey Von Erich,Jackson Andrews,Bret Hart, Desmond Wolfe and HHH updates, TNA event canceled, Generation Me signs new contracts, TNA ending X-Division?, World Title match announced for Rumble

I feel that I have to address this for the sake of getting all of the important news. Sean Morley, formerly WWE wrestler Val Venis, has posted a video of him ranting about Matt Hardy and his "clan" of friends in wrestling (the Hardys, Gregory Helms, and Shannon Moore) not having any talent. While driving down the road no less. I'm not going to start going into pro wrestling grudges here, because that would take forever. Here's a link to the video if anyone's interested: (from an article at PWInsider.com) For what it's worth, Morley has been talking about Hardy on Twitter as well.

After the break, a brief look at PWInsider's questions of the day.

Today's PWInsider.com questions

The first 3 questions were things I didn't really have anything to say on. Seating at a wrestling event, which female wrestlers look the best, non-WWE,TNA, or ROH female wrestlers... not really anything I can add to or care to comment on. The 5th was specific to PWInsider, so there's nothing to say there either.

The 4th question they got asks where Lacey Von Erich. Apparently she works in advertising now.  I can't find anything on her wrestling since leaving TNA in November.

Tyson Kidd's bodyguard from Raw, Jackson Andrews, has been sent back down to FCW for more fine-tuning. They didn't feel that he was ready for the main roster at this time.

TNA has canceled a live event in Wilson, NC, due to having the live Impact that night in Fayetteville.
Update: Eric Bischoff insulted the writer who mentioned the "live Impact in Fayetteville" story, specifically quoting that story in his insult. He didn't refute it, and Dixie Carter said that Impact would be in Fayetteville that night, so the live part might be in question. Any further updates will be posted in future blog posts.

Bret Hart said that "Anything is possible" in regards to a return to wrestling. I don't think there's anything left for him to do in wrestling, unless it's a special match against The Miz playing off of their feud last year (as Hart hinted). If that match happens, I think it should be Hart's last appearance as a wrestler. He can show up for special Old School shows or Legends segments, but I think that should be it. WWE should focus more on the present and future than the past.

Generation Me has signed on to TNA for all of 2011 with the possibility of an extension through 2012. I honestly don't think I've ever cared less about a tag team than I have for Generation Me. They're just a bunch of flashy moves with little to no meaning to me. No personality and hardly any ring psychology. Once you've seen all of their stunts, there's nothing left to care about. I don't dislike many wrestlers, but these guys make that short list. I used to love the high-flying X-Division style, but once I'd seen most of the moves, it got old because that was pretty much the draw of it. Anyway, moving on...

TNA is now considering getting rid of the X-Division. It's unknown if they'll go through with it, and if they do it might be phased out instead of suddenly eliminated. I like this idea, because as crowded as TNA is, two mid-level titles is too much. Just have the TV Title be the "Intercontinental" Title for singles stars. They don't have enough TV time to fully devote to a Tag Team Division, Knockouts, Knockouts Tag Teams, a World Title and two midcard belts. They should combine the X Title with the TV Title and make it an important stepping stone.

Update: PWInsider.com contradicts this story after checking with their sources. They say that there is no discussion of dropping the X-Division. Eric Bischoff also says this.

Smackdown will also begin airing in its entirety in Germany.

The World Title match has been made official for the Royal Rumble. Edge vs. Dolph Ziggler. I like this. The Royal Rumble is a PPV that doesn't need a strong World Title match to sell. The Rumble is the draw, so there's less pressure to have a "star-studded" Title match. I wish Raw would take advantage of this and have Morrison in with Miz and Orton. I can see their thinking in just having the more established Orton in there, however. As long as Morrison isn't de-pushed, I can live with them not putting him in the title match.

Desmond Wolfe is being kept from the ring as he recovers from an injury. The type of injury is unknown, but isn't concussion related.

Triple H is being advertised as wrestling on a Raw show in Madison Square Garden on March 19th, and for a dark match after Raw on March 20th. He isn't advertised in any other matches or appearances at this time.

And today's last story: ROH is in the very early stages of negotiations with HDNet about any future special events. It's not something that's expected to be decided in the near future.

More news tomorrow.
