More Fandango madness, new WWE Title, Interviews with HBK/ECW superfan/Punk shirt artist/Jim Johnston/Bret Hart/Punk/Bruno, Tough Enough star in Gut Check, New Jack retirement speech, Graham hospitalized, WWE injury updates, big guest at Raw, and Questions on WWE crowds, Fandango, Ryback, and IWC logic

Fandango's theme song was #44 on the UK charts this week, the first WWE theme song to hit the charts since 1994. Pretty impressive. It was also #31 in the Scottish Top 40, #9 on the UK Independent Singles Top 40, and #1 on the UK Independent Singles Breakers Top 20. Thumbs up to Jim Johnston.

An NXT Divas' Championship is upcoming, which makes sense since they had a Divas' crown in FCW.

Shawn Michaels talked wrestling a little bit in a piece mainly focused on NASCAR.

NNNNNNNNNNNAAAAAAAAAAAASSSSSSSSSSSCCCCCCCCCCAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRR.

Seriously, I hate NASCAR.

Everything else from yesterday is after the break.

Former ECW employee Tony Lewis talked about his extreme documentary. Talk about an unsung hero. And yes, the ECW audience was really passionate. It was incredible. I don't know if ECW could ever be replicated. It was more than hardcore spots, technical wrestling, and mature storylines. It was the right combination of things at the right time.

Former WWE Tough Enough contestant AJ Kirsch has advanced in TNA's Gut Check Challenge. Watch someone win the challenge, then not get a contract. I'm not a huge fan of Kirsch, but we'll see where he goes (and it's always possible that he's improved from when I last saw him).

Comic book artist Jill Thompson talked about designing C.M. Punk's new T-shirt. I saw someone with the yellow GTS shirt the other day. So awesome.

Jim Johnston discussed the origins of the Fandango theme. I'm totally going to do something with that song tomorrow.

New Jack's retirement speech is now online. Profane as expected. It wouldn't be New Jack without F bombs! Very entertaining. I like his philosophy of leaving the business before the fans see him as one of those guys hanging on to the last shreds of his legacy. Was anyone else expecting Jannetty to attack him and turn super-heel? That would have been cool in a way.

"Superstar" Billy Graham has been hospitalized with pneumonia again. Regardless of some of the things he's said and done over the years, he's a legend and a deserving Hall of Famer.

Update: There's also internal bleeding. It's a shame that he's had so many health issues.

Here's a long Bret Hart interview. Here are some highlights. I agree about a shake-up in WWE management being a good idea.

C.M. Punk briefly talked about WWE in an interview at an MMA website. I also want to see how Fandango does in the weeks to come and wish WWE did more with their Divas.

Bruno Sammartino talked about his future with WWE. Here are some highlights. If Bruno and WWE can work things out, I think other people can, too. I can't wait to play Bruno in a video game and see a Bruno DVD. A physical Hall of Fame would be pretty cool to see in the future as well.

The Rock pulled out of some publicity appearances for "Pain & Gain" and the MTV Movie Awards following his WrestleMania injury. That's understandable. I hope he gets back to kicking-ass shape sooner rather than later.

C.M. Punk has been pulled off all WWE live events going forward due to being so banged up. He really needs time to rest up. Don't expect him to wrestle for a while.

Ric Flair was backstage at Raw. Not sure why WWE didn't use him, but I can't really think of where he could have been added to the show.

For my take on yesterday's PWInsider.com questions:
1. I don't think WWE is intentionally making a mixed crowd reaction. They probably want a sea of people cheering Cena and booing Ziggler. It will be interesting if they move away from the "cheer the faces and boo the heels" model.

2. Now that you mention it, yes!

3. I'd definitely consider it turning heel. Whether the IWC likes him or not, Cena's a face and attacking a face from behind is a heel move.

4. "Everyone should be heel, even though we cheer the heels". - IWC logic. And I'm glad someone else feels that the crowd was out of line. It's sad that this kind of fan is becoming more common, because they eat away at the product.

5. They just said the other day that people tune out of long matches, and now they're advocating 3 hours of action. I think 3 hours of action with no story is a terrible idea. It would dilute the importance of the wrestling aspect of the show. If people wanted to see random matches with no story, Superstars would be 3 hours and Raw would be online-only. The story is what sells tickets.

More wrestling tomorrow, and Blue Echo podcasts coming up.
