Jeff Hardy update, Punk appearance, another WWE tryout, upcoming Old School Raw, reaction to Jarrett leaving TNA, hype for TNA #OldSchool event, 3MB has a guest member, Interviews with Bryan/Big E+Ambrose/Reigns and Questions on Total Divas, WWE commentary, Batista and ex-ROH names to WWE

Following his kayfabe departure on Impact Wrestling, Jeff Hardy is still listed on the roster section of the TNA website. He's currently not advertised for any future dates other than the #OldSchool PPV on 12/30. Interestingly, Kurt Angle's not advertised for anything past the UK tour. TNA's live events and shows are really going to be lacking in top names for the next few months unless Sting returns. Notably, Bully Ray, Mr. Anderson, Bobby Roode and James Storm are all set for all upcoming events, so there are still big names there. Just not some of the most decorated members of the roster.

C.M. Punk was on a recent edition of Colt Cabana's Art of Wrestling podcast, alongside Ace Steel and Cliff Compton. It's great that Punk and Colt have such a good friendship.

Former University of Minnesota lineman Mike Rallis recently had a second tryout at the WWE Performance Center. That's been quite the busy place since it opened.

Everything else from yesterday is after the break.

The 1/6/14 Raw is advertised as an "Old School" edition of the show. That's kind of an odd choice for the first Raw of the new year, but I guess they've got time to fill before the Rumble.

There were some TNA talents surprised with Jeff Jarrett's sudden resignation. I can't say I blame them. TNA's the house the Jarretts built in a lot of ways.

Tommy Dreamer, Bully Ray and more discussed the upcoming TNA #OldSchool PPV. This has got to be the last time they feud, right? It is a cool idea for TNA to work with HOH given the shape they're in. I wonder how much longer after that event it will be before we see Jeff Hardy again.

Ricardo Rodriguez replaced Heath Slater as part of 3MB at a recent WWE live event. Slater wasn't used at the most recent TV tapings. That's definitely a story to follow. I find Slater entertaining, so I hope he's not in the doghouse. Ricardo leading the band's kind of an odd choice, but it's worth a shot.

Daniel Bryan talked about the ride he's had in 2013. I think he's dead on about personality being what he was missing, as well as an opportunity to really shine. He's also right about needing all kinds of wrestlers, including big guys and "sports entertainers". Stone Cold has a way of lighting a fire under someone. If Triple H had said something like that, the "smarks" would have been all over it.

Big E Langston and Dean Ambrose talked about potentially unifying WWE's second-tier titles. Smart idea for a story. I enjoyed Ambrose's remarks especially. NO SCAFFOLD MATCHES. Those are insane.

Roman Reigns talked about some of WWE's upcoming shows. I like that he's studying to get better. That's key in any career. It is pretty cool that they took out Taker. He won't do that for everyone.

For my take on yesterday's PWInsider.com questions:
1. JoJo's still around as of this writing, and I don't know of any plans for that to change.

2. I also can't find anything. Sorry.

3. Pretty clever, no?

4. That would take like 30 seconds to find out on Google. I believe he'll be around until he's needed for publicity for "Guardians of the Galaxy", which opens before Summerslam. Hollywood doesn't always lend itself to the WWE schedule.

5. Still no word on if/when we'll see the American "Pitbulls" in WWE. Stay tuned.

More wrestling tomorrow.
