Updates on ROH stars to WWE, TNA-India update, Interview with Tapa, guest trainer in WWE, Royal Rumble poster and Questions on Punk vs. AJ Styles, TLC, Angle in WWE, TNA's Survivor Series and Punk vs. Bryan

Former ROH World Champion Davey Richards has parted ways with the company and pulled out of another tour with NOAH. This has some speculating on whether he and his oftentimes tag team partner Eddie Edwards will be heading to WWE. As of now, there is no confirmation of the team being signed to any kind of deal.

TNA stars will soon be promoting the company in India. Some TNA PPVs will be airing there in the near future. That's good.

Here's a big story on Lei'D Tapa. I'd still rather TNA have picked up Ivelisse. Glad they paired her with Gail, though. Gail can pass on some things to her.

Everything else from yesterday is after the break.

Former NWA Champion Adam Pearce will be a guest trainer at the WWE Performance Center this week. That's pretty cool.

Here's the poster for the 2014 Royal Rumble:
The synopsis for the PPV mentions the winner of the match being able to challenge for the WWE Championship or the World Championship. Not sure if that indicates anything other than sloppy miscommunication/planning on WWE's part. We'll see at TLC if the titles actually get unified. No word on if Kane will revert back to the masked persona before the Rumble. I believe they changed the persona to match up with Kane's look in See No Evil 2.

For my take on yesterday's PWInsider.com questions:
1. There are certainly a lot of similarities to the angles. As for Punk "kissing babies", was that the same Punk who was shooting on Johnny Ace, HHH, Kevin Nash, etc. after winning the WWE Title? He must have done the baby kissing off-screen or something (or in someone's imagination). Anyway, TNA is doing a pretty good job with the Styles angle, in some ways delivering something better than what WWE did with Punk.

2. I don't suppose I'd be too shocked if they did something to set up a rematch. "Non-finishes" and "screwjob finishes" to matches have been going on for a really long time. There's that selective memory again.

3. Pretty much that. It takes two to tango and WWE has to be willing to use him. Angle's kind of waffled on what he wants to do once his current TNA deal expires. Does he stay in TNA in a part-time role and possibly work behind-the-scenes, or does he try to get back in WWE? We'll see.

4. People get a little loopy around the holidays because they just want to get to their break. So, we get silly things like we've gotten this week on Impact and Smackdown. I did get a kick out of the "Survivor Series" match from TNA.

5. There'd need to be a big enough issue between them for there to be a reason to fill an hour of TV/PPV time with them facing off. Unless WWE's just really desperate to try to pop a rating at one point. The point about viewers with short attention spans is pretty valid. It would be an interesting experiment, but I think it would need the proper buildup to deliver what they want it to from a business perspective. Obviously there's an audience who just wants to see a great technical match, but others want matches to have more than that at stake.

More wrestling tomorrow.
