Main Event Reax - 12/11/13, new TLC match, former wrestler banned from Walmart, Warrior DVD in the works, details on WWE 50 book, WWE business (including Network) updates, Interviews with Sheamus/Kofi, WWE logo update, story on TTTT and Questions on WWE Creative, the American Wolves and popping the crowd

Main Event:
It's pretty cool that WWE has the top titles above the ring to sell TLC. Sometimes, the little touches add a lot.

Curtis vs. Dolph was a pretty good match from a technical standpoint. Both guys work quite hard in-between the ropes. It feels like both guys are hitting that glass ceiling where they both can do some pretty good work in the ring, but are missing the intangibles to really break out. Ziggler's pretty good in that area, but I don't see him as a top guy just yet.

That was honestly better than I was expecting from Natalya vs. Alicia. Good work, and that helped set up Natalya's match with AJ.

Good little tag match to continue that storyline. I continue to hope Woods acclimates to the main roster well. He's done fine so far in a somewhat limited role.

Interesting post-match. I'm not really into Clay vs. Tensai, but I'm not going to crap all over it if they work well enough.

Everything else from yesterday is after the break.

Set for TLC is Goldust and Cody Rhodes defending the WWE Tag Team Championships against the Real Americans, the team of Ryback and Curtis Axel and the team of Big Show and Rey Mysterio. As far as I know, that isn't an elimination match. I really hope they don't derail any of those younger acts just to put the titles on Show and Rey. The titles benefit Cody more than they would either former WWE/World Champion. I can see why WWE would want to give the titles to two big stars, but I think that's kind of short-sighted.

A former independent wrestler in Arizona has been banned from Walmart for life. That's a pretty sad story to read given his disability.

Here are some details on the upcoming Ultimate Warrior DVD. I would have never thought WWE and Warrior would be able to work together after that 2005 release.

Here are details on WWE's 50th anniversary book. That could be really great to read.

WWE executive George A. Barrios talked about the status of the WWE Network and more. No major announcements. I suspect we'll get the big details at CES.

Sheamus gave an update on being out due to injury. I admire his resolve to work hard and return as soon as possible. I hope we see something a little different this time. He's a great performer, but the character seems quite stale right now.

At this point, there has been no indication of a new WWE Championship being commissioned in relation to there being a unified champion and there being a new logo upcoming. I'd think if they do make that new logo official for everything, the titles will undergo changes.

Here are some photos from Tribute to the Troops. I still miss Kaitlyn's two-tone hair, but I can get used to it. Cool that PTP and Kaitlyn got some screen time there, and the photos were really good.

Kofi Kingston talked about his journey to WWE. It sounds like he's had quite the journey. I definitely wouldn't mind some more international stars in the company if they're good fits.

For my take on yesterday's PWInsider.com questions:
1. I definitely think there are creative members of the team who would do things differently if not working under what Vince wants. There's almost always going to be a boss who sets the agenda for the creative types to conform to, so some creativity will be lost there.

2. Yes, Vince has lost touch and isn't the creative force he used to be. Do we really need questions on Vince and Creative every day?

3. When wrestling works, the wrestlers get 90% of the credit. When it doesn't work, Management gets 90% of the blame. It'd be hilarious if it wasn't such a popular misconception. They can't just book any performer to be a top guy. The performer has to fit the role well enough. Anyway, booking a performer well means not overexposing them and catering to their strengths. Part of what makes being successful in wrestling tough in 2013 is how much TV time there is to fill every week, fans being conditioned to seeing a lot of big matches with big stars, and to some degree, performers not having the experience they had in the past. Also, there are a LOT of other options for people to be entertained than there were at the end of the 1990s.

Nothing to really add to 4. The WWE status of the "American Pitbulls" is still up in the air.

5. WWE definitely wants to micromanage everything people do and they're less than flexible at times as far as pushes go.

More wrestling tomorrow.
