WWE name change official, lucha star works Impact, big Dreamer-TNA promo, Interviews with Jeff Hardy/Sgt. Slaughter, Sin Cara update, the state of WWE Creative, another WCW DVD, Booker appearance, Striker wrestling seminar, Monster Factory profiled, perks for big upcoming live event and Questions on WWE games, WWE building new stars, TNA morale, NXT Divas and the IC Title

WWE.com is now referring to the former leader of Nexus as Bad News Barrett. That's really stupid and gimmicky.

Former AAA star Extreme Tiger competed at the most recent Impact tapings as Ultimate Tiger. More details on him here. I like his stats. Hopefully he'll be a good part of the new TNA. Things are slowly but surely turning around there, with new stars being pushed and other stars being used better. There are still some people I'd like to see limited in their roles or put out to pasture, but it's not as bad as some of what was seen in the Hogan/Bischoff era.

Tommy Dreamer put out a promo about his upcoming TNA match with Bully Ray. It will air at their One Night Only: Old School PPV. That was actually a pretty good promo to set up their match. They're not who they used to be, but maybe they can pull something good out.

Everything else from yesterday is after the break.

Jeff Hardy and Jeremy Borash were part of a radio interview: Part 1 Part 2 I wonder how Hardy will juggle his music career with his TNA commitments. He is one of their top acts.

As of now, the original Sin Cara remains under contract to WWE. No word on how long that will remain the case.

With Stephanie McMahon being put her new position, WWE Creative will now report to Triple H. BUT, there are still a lot of the same people involved in the process, and Vince still retains final say of things. So, this looks like it could be a step in the right direction, but I'm still kind of cautious here.

WWE is doing a "Best of WCW PPV matches" DVD. That could be cool.

Here's an interview with Sgt. Slaughter about his current role for WWE and more. Always to cool to hear some old-school stories from the Sarge, and I'm glad someone in the WWE bubble is pushing for the Bryans and Zigglers of the world.

Booker T. was at an NBA game in Houston to promote next weekend's TLC PPV.

Matt Striker is hosting a wrestling seminar next weekend. Hopefully those attending get some valuable tips.

Here's a piece about a well-known wrestling school in the Northeast. The trainer gave some very good advice to potential wrestlers, and those birthday parties sound awesome.

The WWE live event on 12/26 in Madison Square Garden will feature Booker T. as a special referee for John Cena vs. Randy Orton, as well as Kane stepping into the ring with Big Show. Kane hasn't wrestled since becoming the Director of Operations on-screen. I wonder when Kane will come back to the ring on a more full-time basis...

For my take on yesterday's PWInsider.com questions:
1. I wonder when they'll make 2K release a Best For Business edition with Triple H taking up a lot of the cover.

2. Pretty much what they said. WWE should definitely make good use of the part-timers and older names and give them the proper promotion, but they need to transition into a post-Attitude Era world.  The Takers, Brocks and HHHs should be the icing on the cake, not the majority of the focus of the show.

3. That's good to hear. The company's making some moves in the right direction, and I hope they continue to differentiate themselves from the flaws of previous eras.

4. Summer Rae's been officially part of the main roster for some time now. The other names are a case-by-case basis. I can't say I've seen much about any of them moving up to the main roster just yet, but WWE wouldn't keep them around if they didn't feel like they'll make the main roster at some point.

Nothing to add to 5.

6. I feel like that was a reluctant admission, given the usual "WWE's titles are meaningless" BS. Glad they acknowledged how things have shifted some lately. I also hope the U.S. Title gets some more attention.

More wrestling tomorrow.
