Lebron wants the strap, TTTT update, Interview with Nese, Smackdown audience, Old School Raw names and Questions on Magnus, Santino, Double J leaving TNA, MITB and unifying titles

Lebron James tweeted about wanting a real WWE Championship. Some WWE names responded. Good work by Cena and Rock jumping on that. Justin Roberts got me to chuckle as well.

There will be no two-hour version of this year's Tribute to the Troops. For those looking for the other matches taped for the event, check WWE.com or their YouTube page. We didn't really miss anything monumental. Typical Main Event kind of fare.

Former TNA wrestler Tony Nese talked on "Pro Wrestling 101". Pretty good advice. Being on TV shouldn't be everything for a wrestler. There's a guilty pleasure in hearing TNA get wrecked every once in a while.

Everything else from yesterday is after the break.

Smackdown hit 2.86 million viewers on 12/27. Not bad at all.

Wrestlers advertised for next week's Old School Raw:
Bob Backlund
Booker T
DDP
Dusty Rhodes
"Mean" Gene Okerlund
New Age Outlaws
Ric Flair
Rikishi
"Rowdy" Roddy Piper
Scotty 2 Hotty
Ted DiBiase, Sr.

I'm looking forward to seeing some of those names again. We could be in for something interesting. Hopefully if some of them can still "go", we'll see some nostalgia matches.

For my take on yesterday's PWInsider.com questions:
1. Pretty much that. Add in "young", "not a former WWE/WCW name" and "from a major market (the UK)" to help his case. I wish they'd delete the rest of questions about turning Cena heel, dropping PG, WWE Creative, etc. like they did here.

2. Dear God. Not every character needs to be edgy and/or a heel. Santino's got a good role right now that the kids like and that still makes money for WWE. There's no reason to turn him heel. Just like someone else people want to turn heel...

3. The times, they are a-changin'. TNA's going to keep moving away from his vision even with Hogan and Bischoff gone. I wouldn't be surprised if some more TNA originals leave.

4. It's possible, though WWE will presumably still need a July PPV for international markets that don't have the Network. I wouldn't put a huge likelihood on it.

5. As far as the Divas' Title goes, WWE prefers that branding to Women's Championship. So, they kept that title's lineage. I'm not sure about the tag team titles, though the recent move to talk about the history of the titles is a HHH move.

More wrestling tomorrow, including predictions for WWE and TNA stars in 2014.
