Main Event Reax - 12/4/13, ex-WWE personalities appearing, more Slammy categories named, Raw audience, WWE corporate shakeup, Interview with Gail Kim, Tribute to the Troops details and Questions on challenging Vince, Total Divas vs. TNA, unifying the top WWE titles, Vince vs. Turner and Bischoff in the WWE HoF

Main Event:
I really liked Goldust vs. Ryback. Goldy has yet to overstay his welcome. I continue to hold out hope for Goldust vs. Cody at Mania, but there's no need to rush them into a feud as they're doing great now. I like the idea of the Rhodes Family vs. Axel and Ryback.

Good post-match to add heat to an eventual Tag Team Title match (I'm guessing at TLC).

I liked the tag match. Both teams showed some good energy. Keep an eye on Mahal and McIntyre. They're still young and gaining valuable experience. Not everyone's going to be an overnight success.

I enjoy the smug, self-centered HHH character for some reason. I don't like when he throw other talents under the bus, but it's amusing when he blatantly puts himself over.

I feel like they've really run out of things for Sandow to say at this point. I'm not saying his character should change much, but it's running a bit long in the tooth.

I enjoyed Sandow vs. R-Truth. Truth's still got "it", and Sandow continues to impress. I definitely see him as a future top champion. He still needs some polishing, but the signs are there for him to be a big deal.

Everything else from yesterday is after the break.

Jim Cornette will be joining Mick Foley for a Q&A at an upcoming comedy show in Louisville, Kentucky. That could be fun.

Kenny Dykstra and Marc Mero made anti-bullying appearances. That's great!

Here's the updated list of Slammy Award categories. I hope the target audience likes the silly non-wrestling stuff, because I only enjoy it in small doses.

Raw's audience on Monday was down to 3.54 million, a huge dropoff from the previous week. A lot of people were watching that night's NFL game instead. I really hope WWE takes these recent numbers to heart and changes their approach. That's a pretty clear sign of dissatisfaction.

For those who keep track of such things, WWE promoted a number of key executives, including Stephanie McMahon. It's not immediately clear what Stephanie's promotion means for her role in Creative. More details are forthcoming.

Gail Kim talked about women's wrestling, something she knows a thing or two about. As far as the matches with Taryn go, it's clear Taryn's not that strong of a worker and they covered this up by turning the matches into bumpfests.

Here's the official press release for Tribute to the Troops, which will involve a number of celebrities, and perhaps more interestingly, Eve Torres.

For my take on yesterday's PWInsider.com questions:
1. Vince clearly has his way of thinking and doing things that he doesn't like to deviate from, even if they're not working. I admire his determination, but sometimes the company would benefit if he loosened the reins.

2. Not really. The show offers something different from what you normally see in WWE given the reality show angle, whereas TNA isn't all that different from what WWE already puts on for hours every week (as far as also being a show centered about wrestlers having matches instead of a "real" behind-the-scenes look).

3. It would definitely help the top champion appear to be the true top guy in the company. WWE could (and should) definitely do more with making the other titles more prestigious. At the end of the day, the titles are just props plot devices to spark feuds and (ideally) to show who's important.

4. As alluded to, WCW was only part of Ted Turner's holdings. He had a LOT of other fish to fry. In fact, wrestling is barely brought up in Turner's autobiography. It's not treated much differently than any of his other holdings, since that's how it was viewed. There is the story about Turner calling Vince and telling him he was in the wrestling business, with Vince replying that (Vince) was in the entertainment business, but I don't know of any other interactions.

5. I definitely think Bischoff should go in at some point. Hopefully he does someday.

More wrestling tomorrow.
