Ziggler takes shots at WWE, Interviews with Foley/Otunga/JR, note on new TNA name, Wrestle-1 names working Lockdown, more on WWE Network, Foley talks Batista, more on AAA in the States, Cena update, more from Jarrett, TNA loses international TV home, WWE name change and Questions on WWE Network edits, airing NXT and bringing back the six-sided ring

Dolph Ziggler took to Twitter after WWE edited the crowd response to him on Smackdown. Can't have anyone getting over with the audience without the WWE stamp of approval! This is the kind of @&$# that gets fans in the mood to chant for announcers and generally bury the product and is the absolute wrong way to go.

Mick Foley was interviewed. The stakes are high for WWE to deliver at WrestleMania. The fans are tired of some of the same old acts at the top.

David Otunga was interviewed in a piece that didn't focus much on wrestling, but was still quite a read. I have heard/read exactly ZILCH about him coming back to the ring or anything anytime soon. It wouldn't shock me if WWE just let his contract expire (whenever that will take place) and/or just use him as something of an ambassador.

Everything else from yesterday is after the break.
Tigre Uno, the former Extreme Tiger, has officially signed a contract with TNA. They're doing a good job of freshening up the roster, at least as far as who's getting pushed.

Update: Tigre will be making his debut at Lockdown on 3/9, teaming with Wrestle-1's Great Muta and Seiya Sanada against Bad Influence and Chris Sabin. Hopefully the TNA Originals don't job to the special guests. Tigre getting the win is one thing, but I don't see what good it does TNA for their guys to be fodder for two people just there for a few special dates.

WCW Uncensored 1998 is not available on the WWE Network for some reason or another. The hiccups continue...

Update: Here are some more notable Network edits. Sometimes it feels like there's no rhyme or reason for why they do some of this stuff.

TechnologyTell has a piece encouraging trying out the WWE Network. So, you know, get on it.

Jim Ross had a BIG interview on Opie & Anthony. I think the rumors of him working with Jarrett and Toby Keith have died down. I don't think that one's happening.

Mick Foley has an interesting question about Batista going over in the Rumble. I am really enjoying him as a heel so far. MAYBE this was WWE's plan, but they're going to have to be really careful because they're playing with fire here.

The AAA show to air in the United States is expected to begin airing this fall. The show will be in English and feature some independent U.S. talents, with tapings expected to be in Los Angeles. I might well cover the company when that time arrives. It's always good for there to be more places for people to make a living!

John Cena addressed the crowd at a recent live event, saying the doctors wanted him to take a weekend off, but he worked anyway. He was notably sluggish. I really appreciate Cena's motivation and drive, but this feels dangerous on his part.

Update: Cena's said to have suffered a groin strain on Monday, but is toughing through WrestleMania season. I'd be reducing his workload if I was WWE. At least the whole "getting in the ring a lot" part.

Karen Jarrett put out a teaser. I think these have been done well. I hope she and her husband have something worth getting excited for in the works.

TNA has been dropped from the TV lineup in Germany. It had been moved to Saturdays and pre-empted quite a bit, so that likely played a bit part in its ratings malaise. That's very unfortunate for TNA. I don't anticipate this necessarily leading to a domino effect of them being dropped around the world, but it's something to keep an eye on.

Tensai was announced as "Jason Albert" when doing commentary for NXT, so it's possible he's officially transitioned into that role under that name. I think it helps his longevity to be able to commentate as well as wrestle.

For my take on yesterday's PWInsider.com questions:
1. It could also be music issues, but obviously WWE doesn't want to go out of its way to show excessive violence, either.

2. Obviously people are really underestimating how difficult it is to pull something of this scale off so quickly.

3. I'd like to think if they make money from showing it on Hulu, they'd keep showing it there.

4. Not personally, but if there's a big enough demand to go back, I think they should consider it. I find it really gimmicky and unnecessary myself.

Nothing to add to 5.

More wrestling tomorrow.
