Interviews with The Fink/Swagger, interesting omission from TNA live event, Nash blasts off on Piper, Sting even cozier with WWE, ex-WWE/World Champion taking time off and Questions on Mania's attendance record, Evolution with Flair, WWE honoring Warrior and Miz challenging Bryan

Howard Finkel discussed what makes a good ring announcer and more. Pretty cool story about getting into WWE. On a related note, here's The Fink doing ring announcing for a wedding complete with entrance music. Some people there did entrances better than others. That Hulk Hogan mustache tho.

Jeff Hardy/Willow wasn't at the 4/19 TNA live event in NC. I imagine there were some disappointed fans in his home state.

Kevin Nash and Sean Waltman took aim at Roddy Piper's recollection of a backstage incident from WCW. Damn! That got pretty heated. I hope they don't come to blows over something from more than a decade ago.

Update: Piper responded and Nash is still mad. I'd love to know the whole story behind the incident.

Everything else from yesterday is after the break.
Sting and WWE have come to terms on a deal. A Sting DVD is due this September. That's really cool! I *think* I'll be OK with him being a part of WWE if he's not the focal point of the show ahead of the talented up-and-comers seeking to make their marks.

Jack Swagger talked about his upbringing. He's had a number of chances with big pushes, but he's never been really successful. I hope he does hit his stride at some point as he's got some solid credentials.

Batista is expected to take time off after Extreme Rules to begin promotion for "Guardians of the Galaxy". He's not leaving for good, but he will be splitting his time between WWE and Hollywood. WWE could definitely use some new top heels in his absence. Bray beating Cena would help in this regard.

For my take on yesterday's PWInsider.com questions:
1. I'm sure they want to break that record someday. They also really like elaborate entrance sets for WrestleMania. Overall, I think breaking attendance records isn't AS important to them as the amount of money the event brings in. It's up there, though.

2. Yeah, unless Evolution turns on Flair and beats the piss out of him to get heat, I don't think he should be a part of this. Flair'd almost certainly get a pop and that's not WWE should want for Evolution.

3. It really was best for business for the two sides to make peace. Sometimes that's how it works.

4. Bryan vs. Kane is indeed the way to go, but I don't dislike the idea of Miz challenging Bryan at some point. It would have to be done right, though, as Miz has fallen a LOT since WM27.

5. That would be a great, classy move. Hopefully Savage goes into the Hall next year and gets the same treatment.

More wrestling tomorrow.
