Main Event Reax - 4/8/14, what happened after Raw, more from Mania, Interviews with Hogan/Paige/Bryan, Rey talks original Sin Cara, old enemies embrace, update on Main Event's TV status, latest on WWE youth movement, Taker update, why Heyman's with Cesaro, Bryan note, WWE signing WM30 guest?, Otunga update, latest on TNA tapings, Raw audience, reference to Taker on popular show, WWE pairing splits and Questions on Wyatt as the new Taker, Brock's contract and the plan for Bryan

Main Event:
That was a pretty kickass opening contest! Those six men really know how to bring it. I do think they went too heavy on big moves, but as presumably the last match in the feud, I can live with it. Less can be more. Everyone worked really hard at any rate. I don't think the loss will hurt the Wyatts. This was more about elevating The Shield.

#$*% YES that Shield promo. I'm really ready for them to get a big moment against Kane, HHH, Batista and Orton. I feel like the four men mentioned still have something to bring to the table in WWE, but Kane and HHH in particular should be winding down their days of being featured acts from an in-ring perspective.

I wonder if Zeb will have any beef with Alexander Rusev? He doesn't even speak English (in kayfabe)!

I'm actually pretty surprised Ziggler tapped out there, but I really shouldn't be at this point. I do think it'd be better if Swagger worked on the ankle to wear it down first.

Well $#@&! They definitely want Rusev to get over strong early. Good win for him. I hope Sin Cara can recover. He's a talented guy.

That Smackdown main event sounds pretty great. I'm ready for it.

Everything else from yesterday is after the break.

After Raw, The Shield and Daniel Bryan were interviewed. I hope their rise continues!

The Rock commented on his WrestleMania 30 role. That was an awesome moment.

Hulk Hogan talked about a number of current WWE topics, including the Silverdome flub. I think he should make it a thing to call the arena something new every time he's interviewed.

Rey Mysterio talked about the original Sin Cara not making it in WWE. There were high hopes for him and WWE (and myself) gave him plenty of chances, but it wasn't meant to be.

Vince McMahon hugged the Ultimate Warrior. I think that's an image that's really going to live with us now.

WWE Main Event will now air exclusively on the Network in the United States while being syndicated internationally. That's good for the Network, but I imagine WWE would rather have another entity pay them for it to air.

There will likely be more call-ups from NXT in the next few months. Sami Zayn? Corey Graves? The Ascension? Come on, WWE. Throw us some bones! Having a lot of talent come up is great and all, but there need to be uses for them. WWE also needs to have "spots" for them with phasing out acts who aren't getting over like WWE wants or are running on their last legs.

Paul Heyman was paired with Cesaro due to the upcoming sabbatical of Brock Lesnar. Obviously Heyman's a very valuable part of things, so I see why they wanted him on TV with a new act while Brock is out again.

The Undertaker was taken to the hospital immediately after his match Sunday night. Vince McMahon rode with him, meaning he wasn't there for the main event of Mania for the first time ever. Taker was held overnight due to his concussion and was more than a little banged up at Raw. No word on when (if?) we'll see Taker on WWE TV again. There's definitely speculation of him being done as a wrestler. He's earned the right to do whatever he wants with his life at this point.

Daniel Bryan's furry kickpads are a nod to Bruiser Brody. That's a pretty cool reference for him.

Here's a piece on Paige becoming Divas' Champion. She is pretty awesome. I wonder how long in advance they planned the title change (considering Paige is still NXT Women's Champion as well).

WWE could soon be hiring former NFL star Shawne Merriman. That would be rather buzzworthy.

David Otunga notably wasn't at Raw after his surprise appearance at WrestleMania. It's interesting he popped up for one night and that was it. They could have easily put Curt Hawkins in that spot and it would have been about the same. Or heck, they could have dropped him altogether since they advertised 30 people. There's going to be speculation of him being done with WWE I'm sure. I suspect we might be in for another Ezekiel Jackson or Ted DiBiase situation where he's in Limbo until his contract expires.

The Undertaker's look was compared to Assassin's Creed. I can see it.

TNA is expected to tape a number of episodes of Impact Wrestling and possibly a PPV in New York City at the end of June. They keep truckin' along.

Here's another Daniel Bryan interview. Are we in a new era now?

New Orleans wants WrestleMania back in 2019. They really plan ahead, don't they?

Raw hit 5.15 million viewers on Raw. That's not a typo. That's the biggest number since Raw 1000. It's been a really big week for WWE and I hope this is a sign of things going in a really good direction.

Dean Ambrose hurt his rib on Main Event, leading to him having trouble with the post-match promo. I hope it's nothing too bad. That match was definitely very physical!

The Daily Show made reference to The Undertaker losing at WrestleMania. It kind of fell flat.

Fandango and Summer Rae have officially split off. I really enjoy both of them, so I hope this means better things are in store.

For my take on yesterday's PWInsider.com questions:
1. I'm definitely a huge fan of his so far and think he does have a lot of potential. The next Undertaker? Time will tell. But he's off to a good start.

2. Brock has WWE in the kimura and they'll basically do anything he wants.

3. It's definitely not a business for everyone. The physical, mental and emotional effects can be quite draining.

Nothing to add to 4.

5. There was clearly unfinished business between Bryan/HHH and Bryan/Orton and it wasn't until the Wyatts intervened that Bryan turned his focus from the WWE Title. So it's not like Bryan becoming a main eventer again came out of the blue storyline-wise. But the plan was indeed Bryan vs. Sheamus at WM30.

More wrestling tomorrow, including all the news from Warrior's untimely passing. That wa s avery cruel twist of fate just as he had reconciled with WWE.
