Main Event Reax - 4/1/14, Fight in the crowd at Raw, Savage/HOF update, NXT name to work big tour, Cena and Y2J do April Fool's gags, WM30 press conference, Interviews with Heyman/Y2J, Finkel milestone, Raw audience, another Hogan appearance, new PPV logo and Questions on airing NXT, Batista as a heel, Kane's new look, Schiavone in the Hall and title makeovers

Main Event:
Miz vs. Sheamus was pretty solid. I hope both men make it to a higher level before it's all said and done. That doesn't preclude guys like Bryan, Cesaro and The Shield from ascending, but I like there being some variety to that style.

The Bellas promo was fine to continue the never-ending build to the Divas' Title match.

Tamina vs. Nikki was nice to potentially set up a Tamina win for Sunday. I'd be completely OK with that. It's more interesting than one of the Total Divas winning the title.

Good post-match. I wonder what they could do for AJ vs. Tamina at Extreme Rules.

Hogan on Smackdown makes sense. He hasn't worn on me too much in this run. They've wisely kept him to a supporting role.

Everything else from yesterday is after the break.
Rapper Wale got in an altercation with a fan on Raw. Way to be role models for the children in attendance.

Randy Savage's brother gave an update on him going into the WWE Hall of Fame. Hard to imagine Vince putting someone out for not being in their prime anymore given all the nostalgia runs WWE's done. There was unfortunately bad blood between the two sides for YEARS. I do think WWE should have offered condolences for Randy's passing in an accident. It's not too late. One thing on Vince's bucket list should be to sit down with Lanny Poffo and bury the hatchet.

NXT's Sami Zayn is advertised for a WWE tour of Saudi Arabia later in April. I wouldn't read TOO much into that, but it definitely looks good on him. Him being multilingual has opened up some serious doors for both him and WWE.

John Cena played a April Fool's joke on a WWE fan on "Good Morning America".That was much better than the Vickie Guerrero joke from a few years back. Ouch.

Chris Jericho's April Fool's gag involved him announcing a start-up wrestling promotion. Damn you, Jericho. That was pretty good. That is a pretty popular thing to do these days.

Here's a recap of the WrestleMania press conference. Heel Batista continues to entertain. Good sell for NXT and the WWE Network.

Paul Heyman talked about WrestleMania, C.M. Punk and more. He has a good point about being diplomatic and mature. I loved his answer for the end of the PPV.

Chris Jericho talked about why he won't be at WM30. I do think it's better for him to wait to come back when he'll be a more important part of things. Especially with RVD returning soon.

Howard Finkel tweeted about a very important WWE anniversary. I love The Fink.

Raw went up to 4.39 million viewers on Monday. It's that time of the year!

Hulk Hogan is set for the Smackdown after WrestleMania. Hopefully they don't stretch the nostalgia too far. He needs to be kept for special occasions.

WWE released the poster for Extreme Rules:

But they're not behind Bryan or anything...

I don't like the new logo all that much, but the poster itself is pretty cool.

For my take on yesterday's PWInsider.com questions:
1. I think they nailed it with their answer here. NXT is much more valuable as a tool for getting people ready for the main TV shows than being a TV show in its own right. With the show being canceled in its earlier incarnation, I think there'd be a negative stigma attached to it for a lot of fans who aren't familiar with the new run of it. It fits well on the WWE Network.

2. I'm certainly enjoying him more as a heel! They made some missteps with his return, no doubt, but it does seem to have worked out better for them this way.

3. While it's possible the idea was to make him more presentable for that purpose, I think they just wanted him aligned with the heel Authority. As hilarious as it would be for him to keep the mask, hair and gloves with the suit, this fits the gimmick better. Kane should get credit for being so adaptable. He's gotten a LOT out of what was originally an "evil brother/horror movie monster" gimmick.

4. I guess theoretically they will eventually run out of people to put in and have to go with less notable individuals. His legacy has been defined by the decline of WCW, so it's going to be a while before he gets acknowledged in a positive light.

5. Meh. It depends on what the new design would look like. I do see the complaint of the titles looking like giant pennies, so I'm open to them doing something new.

More wrestling tomorrow.
