Main Event Reax - 4/15/14, what happened post-Raw, Impact and Raw lineups, more turmoil for WWE PPVs, WWE press, Interviews with ex-WWE writer/Chavo, latest Jarretts announcement, TNA stars renew deals, Warrior tribute, big WM30 milestone, Raw audience, Raw roster notes, new Extreme Rules match, big part of Raw added last minute and Questions on Vince the person, the ending to Brock-Taker, Heyman blasting the announcers and the WWE Network

Main Event:
I think I can live with the idea of Hornswoggle being with 3MB. WWE's not exactly doing much with the group. If this gives them something to do, I'll let it play out a little more. There's a big difference between Hornswoggle teaming with 3MB and him teaming with a top act.

Yeah, WWE's just having some fun here after a hectic Mania season. I'm OK with some levity here and there. This is minor compared to John Cena's abysmal promo on Raw. I really hope it got over with the kids, because a lot older fans have had enough of his comedy.

We had to get Torito vs. Hornswoggle at some point. Hornswoggle as a heel makes sense with his role in Leprechaun. Will we see a more mean character from him to tie things together?

I hope Bo Dallas gets over with that gimmick. He can be an acquired taste.

This is the kind of promo I wanted from Barrett's new character, outside of Sin Cara being a joke. If he wins, all he's done is beat a joke. If he loses, he lost to a joke. Sin Cara was a big deal in Mexico (wink, wink) and they shouldn't completely write that off.

I liked Barrett vs. Sin Cara well enough. Hopefully The former Nexus leader is in for a resurgence.

Where the heck is AJ in all this? I hope she's not being cast aside or leaving because of Punk. She's got a lot left to offer.

Good showing by Tamina there. Tamina vs. Paige makes sense. There's so much potential to AJ vs. Paige and I hope we still see that.

God I love Zeb Colter. The gimmick's starting to wear long in the tooth, but he plays it perfectly and puts a lot into it.

As far as Big Show matches go, that was pretty good. Swagger got to show some good offense before the loss. That said, I've seen Big Show win matches since 1999 and am ready for the new talent to shine.

Everything else from yesterday is after the break.
After Raw, John Cena beat Bray Wyatt via DQ when the Family interfered. Cena moved out of the way of a chair shot from Bray and then ran the Wyatts off. I hope with Bryan back next week, Cena's less of a focus.

Set for Thursday's Impact:
- Monster's Ball: Young vs. Abyss
- The Bro-Mans vs. The Wolves
- Willow vs. EC3 and Rockstar Spud
- Street Fight: Madison Rayne vs. Velvet Sky
- Tables match: Bobby Roode vs. Gunner
- Match 2 of the Best of 3 series for the X-Division Championship: Tigre Uno vs. Sanada
A number of unpromoted gimmick matches there. Monster's Ball could easily have been the main event of Sacrifice. Young just won the title and Magnus hasn't had his rematch. I kind of wish they'd give it a week or more to sink in before rushing to a big stipulation bout.

Set for Raw:
- Daniel Bryan vs. Kane
- Semifinals of Intercontinental Championship #1 Contendership tournament: Rob Van Dam vs. Cesaro and Bad News Barrett vs. Sheamus

Cesaro vs. RVD has potential to be really great and Bryan vs. Kane will definitely deliver. Cesaro vs. Barrett should be the final match unless Swagger costs Cesaro his match. I definitely don't want RVD going over the up-and-comer clean when they can use him to elevate a rising talent.

Dish Network is not advertising Extreme Rules, so it seems they might be dropping WWE PPVs as well. I hope the WWE Network gamble pays off because they could really be leaving money on the table here. So far things look to be going well for them. What happens in the post-Mania season will be critical.

John Cena's Crimson Tide mention was picked up.

Former WWE writer Alex Greenfield discussed The Undertaker's streak ending and more. Good thoughts about Cena vs. Wyatt. There do need to be some clear-cut good guys. They don't have to have such terrible lines, though. VERY interesting stuff about Taker losing to Brock as far as the stories involved.

Chavo Guerrero talked about his family, WWE and more. I think Chavo would be a pretty solid teacher in NXT, but I don't know if that's a possibility.

The Jarretts have announced an executive producer for GFW. He's got a great resume! The concept of GFW remains vague with such a large roster of potential talent, but I think things will make more sense as things keep coming together.

Robbie E has signed a multiple-year deal with TNA. OH! OH! OH! He's made it a lot longer than would likely be expected for his gimmick, my dudes.

Update: Gunner has also signed a new, multiple-year deal with TNA. While he's not a perfect wrestler by any stretch, I think he can be a focal point of TNA for years to come. There's a lot of speculation about what TNA will look like by the end of 2014, but it's good they've got some veterans sticking around for a longer time.

Big Show did press for Smackdown. Show's someone I have an almost Pavlovian dislike for from having seen him do pretty much the same thing for years. He does great things from a PR perspective and that's important, but I don't know if he needs to be a big part of the on-screen product in 2014.

Here's WWE's extended tribute to Ultimate Warrior. There were definitely negative things Warrior did that shouldn't be overlooked, but his being an inspiration to so many people deserves praise and remembrance.

WWE topped a million homes showing WrestleMania 30. From this I'm taking away PPV not being dead and good news for the Network thus far.

Raw hit 4.78 million viewers on Monday for a show with no Daniel Bryan. I hope numbers continue to be strong post-Mania as WWE hopefully stays behind newer acts.

Summer Raw and The Miz missed Raw to film WWE's latest "Marine" film. That partially explains the split from Fandango.

The Great Khali was also given Raw off. They can keep on doing that as far as I'm concerned.

C.M. Punk, Rey Mysterio and AJ Lee were listed as "Injured - To Be Determined". Interesting.... could Rey's time in WWE really be coming up soon? What about AJ's?

Tamina Snuka vs. Paige for the WWE Divas' Championship is official for Extreme Rules. That will be a test for the new Divas' Champ.

The Intercontinental Championship #1 Contendership tournament was added to Raw on the day of. I like the idea personally.

For my take on yesterday's PWInsider.com questions:
1. While Vince is a businessman first and foremost and has the unfortunate reality of making tough and/or unpopular decisions, he also has a heart and looks out for his boys. That might get lost in the unbelievable stress the job puts him in. Him missing the WM30 main event in order to ride with Undertaker to the hospital was also nice, and let's not forget all the charity endeavors WWE does.

2. Presumably he felt either Taker or Brock would have done something to signal it wasn't 3 if he wasn't supposed to count, i.e. feigning a kickout or something. That was definitely risky, but he really had to count 3 there. Just imagine the controversy if there was some kind of error there!

3. That's pretty much it. Of course many fans agree with Heyman's assessment of Cole and Lawler, but the official babyface position is Heyman's wrong in throwing them under the bus.

4. People will demand money back regardless. It set a pretty dangerous precedent for them to get their money back just because they didn't like the creative direction of a show's ending. If there were errors in the feed or something, I could see why they should get their money back. Ditto if there's a Jeff Hardy situation and things don't go as planned. But they really stretched it with the discontent over the Bryan situation.

5. I hope so, but unfortunately there will still be fans who'd rather get the PPV illegally and short the performers they "support" out of money. At the end of the day, it is a business.

More wrestling tomorrow.
