Kliq hand symbol update, new WWE trademark, WWE duo splits, another ROH prospect, end of year NXT poll, TNA special audience, and Questions on WWE PPV markets, the Mass Transit Incident tape, turning the Wyatts, Nailz post-WWF, and ECW's best match

WWE's request to trademark the Kliq/Wolfpack hand gesture has been abandoned due to WWE not responding to the USPTO in time. It could be a matter of not wanting to get negative publicity/give further attention to those using the gesture made famous in WWE and WWE-owned properties.

WWE has applied to trademark the gimmick name "American Alpha." I'm interested in what talent that would be applied to. I don't see Jack Swagger getting that kind of love from Creative. Maybe Jordan and Gable?

WWE has split Tyler Breeze and Summer Rae. It's usually not a good sign when an act is tossed within a few months of being put together. I hope it means they've got better plans for Prince Pretty. Summer Rae will hopefully still be in the picture in another act; she's done well with what they've put her in so far.

Everything else from yesterday is after the break.
Brian Fury is the next addition to ROH's Top Prospect tournament. He's got a good amount of experience, so he might be someone to really watch out for in 2016.

NXT is holding a fan-voted Year-End Awards. It's like a mini-Slammys in a sense. I'm curious how they'll go.

TNA's second Best of 2015 special on Pop drew 136,000 viewers. Next week is the official start to new content on their new home. That's going to be the first number that really "matters" in a larger sense.

For my take on yesterday's PWInsider.com questions:
1. I think that's definitely part of it. WWE also really considers the routes they have to take for the following Raw and Smackdown, as well as live events going into the PPV. So, surrounding markets are also important parts of the equation.

2. Since there was a lawsuit over it, RF Video would have been destroying evidence if they got rid of it. So, it at least survived that long.

3. I really want to see them face off with LoN, but I think they're going to get through Sheamus vs. Roman before they do that. We'll see this coming week if they pull the trigger on a face turn for them. They definitely didn't want to distract from Roman's group vs. LoN by throwing the Wyatts in the mix too soon.

4. I don't think you can really be "banned" from the entire business. It doesn't really work like that. But as was said, he does something else with his life now. I'm sure he could make some money on the convention circuit, but I suppose he's more invested in whatever he does now.

5. There are way too many ECW matches to pick a "best" one. That one's definitely a favorite of a lot of people, though.

More wrestling tomorrow.
