Band set for WrestleMania, Bryan appearance, most bought Manias, WWE live event notes, more on Punk, WWE producer passes away and Questions on Punk getting paid, Eric Young as World Champ, Sting in WWE, creative having nothing for you and Punk vs. Bryan

Mark Crozer and The Rels will be performing the Wyatt Family theme song live at WrestleMania. That could really be awesome. They have a big opportunity to make Wyatt a star in New Orleans. I hope they don't blow it.

Daniel Bryan will be on the NFL Network to discuss the Seattle Seahawks, who capitalized on his "Yes!" catchphrase with their Super Bowl win. That's pretty cool. Hopefully Vince and HHH are stoked that they have a star getting that much mainstream attention. Maybe he should make HHH tap at Mania, since HHH's time as a top star are pretty much in the past? Just a suggestion.

Richest.com has an article on the most bought editions of WrestleMania. I wonder what the excuse is for WM29 being so high-grossing despite featuring the "gassed", aging Rock and the "shoved down our throats" John Cena.

Everything else from yesterday is after the break.

The Shield noted C.M. Punk's absence at a recent live event in San Diego. This show featured Emma teaming with Natalya to beat AJ and Tamina, Big Show returning to the ring against Kane (yay...), but no Rey Mysterio. That's an odd omission. I wonder what's going on there.

C.M. Punk is no longer set for @Midnight. I can't really say I'm surprised. He might as well have fallen off the map.

Frank Bullock, a long-time part of WWE's ringside production crew, has passed away due to cancer. He was reportedly thought very highly of. It's always a shame to lose someone so appreciated. Rest in peace, Frank.

For my take on yesterday's PWInsider.com questions:
1. As much as I'm on Punk's side in this whole thing, they are well within their rights to not pay him due to the walkout. No word on if they have or will yet. They might be hoping the whole thing blows over.

2. I don't think they should do it anytime soon, that's for sure. He has worked very hard for the company but I don't think he's seen as being at that level yet. If there's enough fan support and the right story involved, maybe. But on the surface, I'm hesitant.

3. There's definitely a large part of the audience who doesn't really know who Sting is. Even those who remember Sting might not want to see him compete as the Sting on 2014. But maybe there's enough of an audience who does want to see him to give him a shot. Personally I'd lean toward a Hall of Fame induction and possibly appearing in Piper's Pit with Hulk Hogan. The segment could start with Piper and Hogan doing their thing. 3MB interrupts leading to a 3-on-2 beatdown. Sting does the Sting thing with some black baseball bats and we get our "surprise" nostalgia pop moment where they fight off 3MB. I just don't think Sting vs. Taker would deliver in 2014.

4. There are definitely performers who don't have much going for them for WWE to make into a story, but once you've reached a certain level WWE will generally come up with something. Some talented performers indeed get shafted, but it's not always because management is dropping the ball.

5. I pretty much agree here. Punk vs. Bryan as babyfaces makes little sense from a story perspective and there's no reason to turn Punk heel just to do that match. Bryan vs. HHH makes more sense at the event. It's not all about having classic matches, etc.

More wrestling tomorrow.
