Elimination Chamber preview

Read on for how I'd book tonight's PPV.

Pre-show:
I don't see any reason not to have Cody and Goldust get the win and continue to impress. I think we can hold off on their feud for now and have them face off at Summerslam instead of Mania.

Big E retains over Swagger. Swagger and Zeb continue to be frustrated at Swagger's losses. Swagger becomes jealous of Cesaro and they eventually feud.

Titus beats Darren here, but the feud's not over just yet. Maybe a dirty win via exposed turnbuckle or something? Titus wants this to be finished business and to go for the IC Title, but Darren as the tenacious babyface keeps coming at him and ends up in the match as well. Titus taunts Big E as Mark Henry's puppet or whatever, wondering what happened to the Hall of Pain Mark. So Henry throws his name into the mix as well to show he's still got it. This is NOT the "black people match" just to throw everyone together. I just think the story would work best that way: Big E needs a title defense, Titus vs. Darren needs more heat, and it makes sense to include Henry for Mania.

The Usos get a nice win over the New Age Outlaws. NAO go over in a non-title rematch and the feud heats up to where the Usos set a challenge for WrestleMania for all the marbles. It's a match NAO made famous at the event years back.

The Wyatts beat The Shield in line with what WWE's been building toward. I wouldn't be against them having a rematch before the Shield split is official. Wyatt turns his attention back to Cena once this feud's in the books.

Batista beats Del Rio. No surprises there.

Kane sends Sheamus to The Authority's office to sign some paperwork clearing him for the Chamber match, which is of course a ruse leading to Sheamus being attacked once the door is closed and conveniently being unable to participate. Kane takes his place as per The Authority's orders (i.e. he attacks Sheamus when the door's closed and signs himself into the match). Kane is eliminated by Bryan but ends up attacking him and leaving him as prey for Orton to successfully retain. Bryan beats Kane on the road to facing HHH at Mania in the finale of the Authority angle. Christian complains about his loss, wanting one more match. Cesaro interrupts and they feud.

Set for WrestleMania:
I'd love to see AJ Lee vs. Lita, but I don't know feasible that is.
Kane vs. Sheamus
Cesaro vs. Christian
IC Title: Big E vs. Titus O'Neil vs. Darren Young vs. Mark Henry
Dumpster match for Tag Team Titles: The Usos vs. New Age Outlaws
U.S. Title: Dean Ambrose vs. Roman Reigns vs. Seth Rollins
Bray Wyatt vs. John Cena
Brock Lesnar vs. The Undertaker
Triple H vs. Daniel Bryan. If Bryan wins, he becomes #1 Contender for the WWE Title.
WWE Title: Randy Orton vs. Batista

One of those matches would be bumped to the pre-show based on which one's the least over with the crowd.

  1. I was originally going to do Piper's Pit with Hogan and Warrior, but I guess there's nothing stopping Piper and Warrior from trying to crash Hogan's hosting party.
