Lockdown poster, MVP note, more NXT guest notes, Ziggler promo makes waves, Interviews with Ambrose/Bryan, Questions on Punk as a part-timer, Bryan's booking, Young coming out, old stars returning and restricting performers

Here's the poster for TNA Lockdown:
Umm, isn't the whole point that he's locked inside the cage, unable to break out? Either way, I look forward to the show. It's nice to see it won't be headlined by Sting, Bully Ray, Jeff Hardy or Kurt Angle. I've had my fill of those guys in the main event for the time being.

Everything else from yesterday is after the break.
For those wondering, MVP owns the rights to his ring name, so he's in the clear to use it in TNA.

Diesel, a.k.a. Kevin Nash, is being advertised for the NXT Arrival event on 2/26. He's like one of those horror movie monsters who keeps coming back to ruin things just when we think we're safe.

Sheamus and the New Age Outlaws have been moved to the following night's NXT tapings. I wonder if we'll get WWE Tag Champs vs. NXT Tag Champs at any point.

Dolph Ziggler cut an emotionally charged promo after Smackdown. I really enjoyed it other than the overused yelling. I hope we're in for a revolution where older stars are finally pushed aside for the stars who are in their prime. You certainly need some veterans around, but I really wonder how much more there is to be gained from some of these past-40 names.

Dean Ambrose and Daniel Bryan were interviewed recently. Ambrose is an interesting person. I wouldn't be surprised to see his career follow the path of someone like C.M. Punk. As for Bryan, I wonder how many people would wrestle for $75 a night now. I love the Rock Bottom! I agree with WWE needing to do a better job of personality profiles before fights.

As of now, C.M. Punk is still scheduled for @Midnight. We'll see if that still happens.

For my take on yesterday's PWInsider.com questions:
1. It'd be interesting to see what would happen if WWE threw him an actual Mania main event in the future if he'd come back for another run. It's definitely been a goal of his to headline the event. Maybe once his body heals he'll consider it.

2. Before the big crowd reaction at the Rumble, the plan was to do Bryan vs. Sheamus at Mania. That's a definite step down from potentially facing HHH, HBK, Cena or the WWE Champion. WWE finds places for guys like HHH, Taker, Batista and Brock before looking for where to fit in someone like Bryan. That's a pretty flawed approach, as it sends the message that the part-timers are the most important part of things. You can certainly argue that some or all of those names deserve big matches at Mania, but WWE continues to stiff the stars of today in the process.

3. Pretty much that. Kanyon came out years after his WWE run. Young came out while a part of WWE and in a climate where it's more accepted and where he and WWE could get a lot more press for it.

4. It's a case-by-case basis for me, depending on who the talent is and what WWE (or TNA for that matter) does with the talent in question. Bringing back Batista for another run at the time when a big summer movie he's in comes out? I can justify it. Bringing back Kevin Nash to powerbomb C.M. Punk leading to a match with Triple H years past its expiration date? I'm not as sold on it.

5. It totally makes sense for wrestling companies to restrict performers if they want them in a certain role. The opening performers are there to warm the crowd up. The midcarders are there to have a midcard match. I definitely want talented performers to move up to main event spots and for there to be great matches, but it doesn't make sense to let performers go all out every night. There's a reason movies have the main actors and more "supporting" characters.

More wrestling tomorrow.
