Interviews with Magnus/MVP/Manik/Sheamus/WWE docs/Sandow, Dish trolling WWE fans?, HHH note, Big Chamber appearance to set up Mania match?, Hogan's WWE return role revealed, Impact audience and Questions on Oprah in WWE, out-of-print books, the ICP, injuries and Bad News Barrett

Magnus was interviewed. Of note, Jeff Hardy leaving TNA was just a storyline to cover for him missing the UK tour.

MVP was also interviewed. I also like the freshening up of TNA's roster and hope it continues to some degree. He's right about competition being really important in wrestling. It's great to see MVP put over his new coworkers. For a while it was almost commonplace for that not be the case on air or off it.

Former X-Division Champion Manik talked. He hasn't appeared for TNA in more than three months.

Sheamus was interviewed on Elimination Chamber, the WWE Network and more. I think he came across quite well there in hyping things.

Everything else from yesterday is after the break.

WWE's doctors and medical testing were profiled. I'm glad they've made steps to reduce concussions and their negative effects. There are still times when unnecessarily big bumps are put in matches and those also need to be addressed.

There have been reports of Dish Network's WWE PPV page redirecting to an ad for TNA Lockdown. If so, that's hysterical. It's really Dish's loss here I think. I hope Dish customers pick up the Network en masse.

Kelly Kelly was in attendance at the wedding of The Miz and Maryse.

Regarding a recent comment HHH made about inventing the Elimination Chamber match, he was involved in talks to bring the match to fruition. His pitch was bringing back the old WarGames match and the idea morphed into the Chamber match. Naturally HHH has the most wins of any Chamber participant.

Brock Lesnar may very well be part of the Elimination Chamber PPV. I suspect we'll soon see the groundwork being laid for Brock vs. Taker.

TMZ is reporting on the WWE return of the Hulkster, jack! Maybe he can bodyslam The Great Khali so hard at WM30 we never see either of them again.

Update: Hogan will be the host of WrestleMania 30, which means we'll probably have to see him in a lot of segments that night. Damn.

Update: WWE has an official press release out about Hogan's return.  It is a pretty big deal to have him back in the fold.

Update: Hogan commented on Twitter. I wonder how long he'll be flying the WWE colors. I guess right now he doesn't have any big money offers from TNA or Jeff Jarrett.

Damien Sandow was interviewed. I have a lot of respect for him being such a student of the industry. That was great advice about taking opportunities instead of waiting for them. As for the WWE Network, as great as it would be to watch wrestling 24/7, I really have too many responsibilities to just do that all day. WWE had to have liked his answers about being pushed. I agree to some level.

The audience for Impact this week was 1.09 million viewers. That's nearly a 25% drop from the previous week!! I think people might be getting tired of how Magnus' title defenses go with all the crazy interferences and such. But I could be wrong. Either way, the big drop in audience is something to take note of.

For my take on yesterday's PWInsider.com questions:
1. I am a little surprised WWE hasn't referenced that connection. Unless it's too much of a hassle to get the footage and Oprah doesn't want to be associated with them.

2. It could be a case where there's not enough demand (or at least perceived demand) to release it that way. It might be harder to find after all. Sorry.

3. I'm only really familiar with their work in WWE and TNA. I think they've done a good job building a successful brand where they're their own bosses. The Gathering is a one-of-a-kind thing.

4. They didn't fire Owen when Austin was injured, nor D'Lo when Droz was severely injured. Accidents happen. Sometimes really bad ones.

5. I'm afraid I've got a bit of bad news. I can easily see Barrett doing the job to (Cena, Sheamus, Batista, Bryan, whomever WWE wants to push as a top face), then going back to doing nothing of note. That's how things are done there a lot it seems.

More wrestling tomorrow.
