ROH Best in the World Reax

Read on for my take on last night's ROH PPV.

- O'Reilly vs. Kamaitachi:
O'Reilly's definitely one of the better ROH guys. I like what we're seeing here.

Kamaitachi has good fire and focus. It's like they're actually trying to beat each other!

I'm really impressed with both men here.

That was a really solid match. Both men worked hard to put on a believable, passionate fight.

- Silas vs. ACH:
I love Silas. He's absolutely the face in this feud to me.

I love Silas not trying to out-flip ACH, instead just beating the hell out of him.

ACH actually pulling out some wrestling moves, as he should when this becomes more heated.

Silas just wrecking ACH's shit. ROH needs more people in his role to balance all the generic indie guys.

That was mostly good for the style it employed.

So how many ROH wrestlers will the new international flavor of the month beat? We'll find out when Jay White gets momentum going in the company.

- Strong vs. M. Briscoe:
I'm really curious what Strong's next move is. He just doesn't seem like someone WWE would be really interested in.

Funny spot with Mark's hair.

I feel sorry for Roddy and the Briscoes being stuck in ROH for so long when they're good enough to "make it" in a bigger promotion. Roddy's vanilla and the Briscoes are a PR nightmare with other priorities, so they've stuck in ROH for a long time.

These two work together pretty well.

Lots of MOVES, but it is Strong's last ROH PPV match, so it's only fitting.

I'm glad that one ended when it did. Too often ROH PPV matches just drag on and on with all the MOVES.

That was a touching finish for Roderick. He's got a solid resume to make it somewhere else. I think TNA could use him more than WWE/NXT, but I don't know if they're an option for him.

- Elite vs. Moose/War Machine:
I hope Moose doesn't bring the terrible psychology of his opponents on this show with him to NXT.

Overly choreographed. No sense of pacing. Everything that's wrong with wrestling in 2016.

This. Match Sucks. This. Match Sucks. This. Match Sucks.

Too many dives and highspots.

Oh think God the stunt show's over now. THIS is the kind of match that deserves "you can't wrestle" and "same old shit"/"you still suck" chants. Although I guess that would play into the heel reaction the Elite are trying to get.

Don't worry, Moose. The nightmare will be over soon. Just focus on passing those WWE medical tests.

- Addiction vs. MCMG:
Following a flippy match with a flippy match is a terrible idea.

At least The Addiction know psychology and getting heat.

Blehhhhhh already too much flippy double-teaming on his show.

Well that run-in was out of nowhere.

Another garbage match pretty much.

Couldn't care much less about Kamaitachi joining the Addiction, since it's out of nowhere.

- Whitmer vs. Corino:
Please save this show.

I love watching two wrestlers in a heated feud actually beat the hell out of each other instead of just getting together to do cool MOVES.

I liked Whitmer trying to end Corino's career AGAIN.

Corino out to kill Whitmer, too.

ROH could use more old school fights like this.

IT'S THE PROVERBIAL CRIMSON MASK. This is wild.

MY FUCKING GOD.

OK the roll of quarters spot was pretty funny.

Well that was an unexpected appearance.

SWERVE, BRO!!!! SULLIVAN WAS WITH WHITMAH THE WHOLE TIME. Not crazy about that one.

- Fish vs. Castle:
This is mostly good so far.

NICE suplex into the crowd, especially after plenty of other dives on this show.

LAAAAAAAME ending. The action was going alright before that, too.

I like ANX's gimmick, but it feels hollow. Unless they're actually going to destroy the terrible flippy guys, it's just feeding into the system.

So-so ANX promo because I'm skeptical about the followup. I expect them to do the same garbage as pretty much everyone else in ROH once they get back in the ring.

- Lethal vs. J. Briscoe:
Where's Colt Cabana on this show after the big screwjob last time?

Same old bullshit from Lethal.

Oh God now the other Jay's doing the multiple dives spot.

Don't care about Hendrix vs. Leon. I see why they added bells and whistles to this one, though.

SICK Ace Crusher spot. At least ROH has some impressive MOVES at times. I just don't like every other match being built around that.

The cheapest way to have a big match is to kick out of several finishers and use each other's finishers.

Damn. I was hoping we'd see a crazy table spot. If you're going to be stuntmen, be stuntmen.

It was pretty much "ROH PPV main event." Lethal's title reign remains uninspiring.

Ughhh.... I was hoping for a more interesting ending to the show.

More wrestling coming up.
