ROH live event notes, former WWE name at Slammiversary, TNA has new minority owner, and Questions on calling up Nakamura, AJ vs. Cena, Ultimate X in WWE, Stardust's gimmick, and Goldberg in 2K17

At ROH in Minnesota:
- Canadian wrestler Danny Duggan beat Shaheem Ali from the 2016 Top Prospect Tournament. I really hope Duggan does a Canadian version of Jim Duggan's gimmick. That would be just ridiculous enough to be awesome.

- Juice Robinson (former NXT star CJ Parker) lost to Dalton Castle.

- Moose teamed with Lio Rush in a loss as part of the weekend's Tag Wars. Make of that what you will.

- NJPW's RPG Vice and Michael Elgin also worked the show.

At ROH in Wisconsin:
- Cheeseburger beat Danny Duggan, who might be doing something of a tryout on the tour.

- An angle was run where BJ Whitmer announced Steve Corino was in an accident backstage. Corino was dragged out with a bag over his head and his hands tied. Whitmer cut a promo on Corino as a counter to Corino's promo earlier in that night. That's one hell of a feud. I can't wait for that war.

- War Machine beat Jared Jackson and Curt Stallion.

The former Jinder Mahal was backstage at Slammiversary. Him coming in to work against/alongside Drew Galloway would make sense if TNA wants to go that route.

Billy Corgan is the new minority owner of TNA after purchasing a stake in the company. There's no word on how much of a stake he has purchased or if TNA continues to look for other strategic partners to buy stakes, but Dixie remains the majority owner. Billy's already an important figure in TNA, so this will cement that further.

For my take on yesterday's PWInsider.com questions:
1. Neither? It's like Goldilocks with the porridge. The timing needs to be just right, for him as a talent, for NXT, and for either Raw or Smackdown. That might be later this year, the night after WM33, next summer, or none of the above. Hopefully he's using the time in NXT to get better with English promos, since that's really all he needs to work on.

2. AJ winning (at least) semi-clean is the best option. As was said, it's much easier for Cena to rebound from a loss than AJ, who's only been in WWE for five months and is still showing he can hang with WWE's top players. I expect The Club and Finn Balor to be involved by the time we head to Summerslam. That's going to be more important than the actual win or loss.

3. TNA doesn't have a trademark by that name. I think the match could work for NXT given their name and the superstars there. That said, I don't really see them doing it unless there's a REALLY good reason to. Why not just do a ladder match?

4. Actually, I would think WWE would be able to put someone else in as Stardust, like they wanted to do with Diesel and Razor Ramon. On that note, I would have loved to have seen Sandust. I haven't seen anything to support those rumors, though.

5. Goldberg is still over, and they can make money from using his likeness and all that. It will probably get some lapsed fans to try a game they wouldn't otherwise purchase. It's worth a shot.

More wrestling tomorrow.
