WWE confirms Brock's contract situation, NXT+WWE+ROH live event notes including NXT name change, new TNA PPV match, Interview with Ziggler, Goldberg collection note, and Questions on booking AJ vs. Cena, Sister Abigail, more NXT names being called up, and WGN getting Impact

WWE has confirmed Brock Lesnar remains under contract. His UFC contest is a one-off. Apparently Brock negotiated the right to compete in UFC once as part of his current contract. THAT'S how important Brock is to WWE at this juncture.

- Joey Styles buried UFC for relying on a WWE-contracted star to boost their PPV numbers. Obviously WWE used Ronda for WM31, but they didn't advertise her ahead of time and she wasn't in a match.

Corey Hollis continued his string of NXT bookings, losing to Tye Dillinger in Atlanta. Hollis has worked ROH, NXT, and the WWE main roster in the past year. Good for him for getting so many bookings.

At a WWE show in Oklahoma:
- Darren Young lost to Apollo Crews. Bob Backlund wasn't in tow. I wouldn't assume Darren's going to be a heel, but it's interesting he was booked against a babyface.

- Lana teamed with Dana Brooke against Sasha Banks and Becky Lynch. I'm glad Lana's getting more practice in the ring. If WWE's going to have two women's divisions, they'll want to have a variety of available female talents for Raw and Smackdown.

At an NXT show in Florida:
- Mojo Rawley teamed with Hugo Knox. That could have just been a one-time thing, but it's interesting to note.

- The former Biff Busick, Chris Girard, is now known as Oney Lorcan. That could be one of the worst wrestling names I've ever heard. Unless he's doing a Star Wars gimmick or something, he's got his work cut out for him getting over with that name.

-- It's apparently a combination of traditional Irish names meaning something like "little fierce one." I'm worried. Why draw attention to his size?

- Austin Aries defeated "Wesley 'The Beautiful Body' Blake" in the main event. I think Blake could have fun with a vain gimmick.

Grado and Mahabali Shera vs. The Tribunal (Basille Baracca and Baron Dax, accompanied by Al Snow) has been added to Slammiversary. I'm interested in seeing where all those people go in the months to come.

Dolph Ziggler discussed the brand extension and more. I hope we do get to see more talent break out in the months and years to come due to the brand extension.

Goldberg is the subject of WWE Network's latest collection, which features the first footage from WCW Thunder to make it to the Network. I wouldn't assume this opens the floodgates for more Thunder content, but I do expect we're not too far off from WWE focusing on that show as they continue to curate their library.

The Pretty Boy Killers and Matt Sells (quite possibly the best jobber name ever) worked ROH's recent live event in Indiana. Sells is another name who's popped up in ROH here and there to enhance cards.

For my take on yesterday's PWInsider.com questions:
1. Firstly, "looking weak" is a matter of opinion. Lately when someone does lose to Reigns or Cena, they're protected pretty heavily. I don't expect AJ to go over Cena strong by the end of the feud, but I also don't think it will be worth all the whining if AJ looks like he belongs with WWE's franchise player.

2. Some people REALLY need to chill with this kind of exaggeration. Diehard AJ/Bullet Club marks are going to be upset pretty much no matter what, but I suspect most fans will give the angle a chance and see things from a clearer perspective.

3. I actually would go a different direction, with someone smaller who's intimidating due to the fact she can call the shots for the monsters to do her work. Give Alexa Bliss something of a Goth makeover (maybe with black and/or silver hair?) and I think she could kill in that role. Of course, there's also Bray's actual sister if she's interested.

4. Absolutely. Especially as we get further into the year. I expect Finn Balor and Mojo Rawley to be on the main roster soon, and I wouldn't be surprised at all if The Revival and Bayley are there by September.

5. For whatever it's worth, WGN was also in the running before TNA came to Spike. So, there's been interest there for quite some time.

More wrestling tomorrow.
