TNA throwback match booked, GFW TV and live event updates, Interviews with Gronk/Cesaro, baseball names cameo on Raw, ROH matches set, TNA audience, Stephanie honored, WWE helping Orlando, John Cena meme in ad, Tajiri update, Strong's future, TNA names pulled from outside bookings, WWE expected to sign top LU name, and Questions on rebooting The Ascension, banning the Curb Stomp, Kofi's shoes, big matches at MITB, and veterans in the CWC

America's Most Wanted vs. The Naturals is booked for a Tennessee indie show on July 9. Andy Douglas and Chris Harris rarely wrestle anymore, so that's two impressive TNA team reunions in one match.

Jeff Jarrett was in Los Angeles recently for TV negotiations for GFW. I still have hope for the promotion finding a U.S. TV home, but it's got its work cut out for it carving a niche in the current wrestling landscape. A number of important names from the initial tapings won't be available for future shows, and I would expect the promotion's not a top priority for wrestlers when NXT, TNA, ROH, and LU exist.

GFW will begin its second Grand Slam tour this weekend. That's a fine idea to build support at the grassroots level.

WWE's Hawaii live event got local press. Good to see them return to that market.

Rob Gronkowski talked about a potential future in wrestling. That sounds like a "maybe."

Enzo Amore and Big Cass' opponents on Raw were given names of Philadelphia Phillies' prospects. That's pretty funny. I wonder who picked their names.

Cesaro promoted an upcoming live event. It's a good sign WWE trusted him in that role. It doesn't mean they'll push him; it just means they like him.

Added to ROH in Baltimore on July 8:
- Silas Young vs. ACH in a Last Man Standing match
- Jay White vs. Lio Rush
- Christopher Daniels vs. Moose
- Mark Briscoe vs. Donovan Dijack vs. Chris Sabin vs. Frankie Kazarian
- ANX w/ Caprice Coleman vs. Will Ferrara/Cheeseburger.

Set for ROH's TV taping in Philadelphia on July 16:
- Jay Lethal vs. Colt Cabana for the World Championship
- The Addiction vs. War Machine vs. Motor City Machine Guns for the World Tag Team Championship
- Lio Rush vs. Donovan Dijak
- Kamaitachi vs. CMLL's Stuka, Jr. in Stuka, Jr.'s ROH debut.
- Silas Young/Beer City Bruiser vs. Briscoes
- Adam Page vs. Dalton Castle
- Jay White vs. Will Ferrara
- Fish Tank with Mark Briscoe

Impact Wrestling drew 322,000 viewers Tuesday night for an episode featuring big triple threat World Title match. It's very difficult for them to get an audience boost from anything.

Stephanie McMahon was named one of the most powerful women in sports. I'm not sure if WWE will be ecstatic for the honor or upset because "they're not a sport, they're entertainment."

WWE reached out to provide aid for Orlando after the recent mass shooting. WWE has a lot of connections in the area.

John Cena was part of a Cricket Wireless campaign centered on the meme he's been part of. That's clever.

Tajiri will no longer be under Wrestle-1 contract as of July 1, but he's expected to continue working shows there on a per-date basis. Theoretically this opens him up to be used by WWE more going forward, but there's no indication of that being a planned direction at this time.

Roderick Strong is believed to be on WWE's radar once he finishes his indie obligations this summer. No contract has been signed at this stage, however. Strong is a young veteran who could presumably contribute to NXT or as part of the New Era of WWE.

A number of TNA names are expected to be pulled from set bookings in order to work TV tapings for TNA in August. That's unfortunate, but necessary for TNA's tapings to include all the important names.

WWE is scouting talent from Lucha Underground. With the upcoming draft, they're leaving no stone unturned as far as potential sources of talent.

- Ricochet/Prince Puma is expected to sign with WWE once he's legally allowed to do so. He has a lengthy no-compete clause with LU as far as appearing on U.S. TV, so he will continue working NJPW and the indie scene at least through the end of the year or so. Ricochet is considered one of the top talents in the world as far as athletics and acrobatics are concerned, so WWE might have made a big move here. He's definitely got a lot of bookings under his belt, and is still a few years shy of 30.

For my take on yesterday's PWInsider.com questions:
1. I definitely think WWE could reboot The Ascension as their earlier "Goth" characters if they planned on pushing them again. It would take a dedicated effort to treat them as important people/characters, but I think they can be "saved" from their current spots.

2. It's actually a less safe move, since it's more realistic violence and targets the head. I don't see the move coming back outside of MAYBE a big match here and there with someone who trusts him and could get away with letting him do it (Cena).

3. It could have been some kind of inside joke. Like the one Dave made in the answer to this question when he implied Cena isn't more popular than Curry.

4. It's possible those names aren't on the same brand as each other by Summerslam. If Cena's a Smackdown guy and Styles is a Raw guy, they probably won't face off outside of Wrestlemania. Also, this begs the question of what matches WWE should have done at MITB instead. If they don't have important matches, they get complaints of "B PPVs where nothing happens" and all that.

5. I like the idea of Tajiri and Kendrick putting over someone the WWE audience isn't familiar with. Ideally, they'll also be draws to the more casual fans to watch the CWC.

More wrestling tomorrow.
