Superstars Reax - 6/10/16, Maria injury update, Teddy Long update, WWE updates production capabalities, Hardcore hosts, Interview with Gallows, TE name+former WWE Champ+EVOLVE head at NXT, Maryse sticking around, more Nitros uploaded, WWE presentation in France, Smackdown audience, and Questions on Brock's UFC fight, Punk and WWE making up, a wrestlers' union, WWE stars paying taxes, and Heyman working with Brock

Superstars:
- Cara vs. Viktor:
This is fine. Both men are showing good work.

It's weird Viktor's in something of a "strong guys" team with The Ascension channeling LoD. He's much better when he uses his speed.

I'm liking the story between these two.

That was pretty good!

- Dudleys vs. Ryder/Ziggler:
The Dudleys' psychology remains solid. They know how to work.

I'm liking the story here, too. When the Dudleys are motivated, they're pretty good.

Really solid ending sequence. It's a shame to see Bubba and D-Von lose so much.

Still expecting Ryder to team with Mojo Rawley after the brand split, but it's cool to see him work with his friend Ziggler.

***********************NEWS BEGINS BELOW THIS LINE*************************

Maria indicated she'll be unable to compete at Slammiversary due to her broken hand. With as many other matches that are set for the show, turning her scheduled match with Gail into an angle or a different match won't be a huge detriment. They can easily just have Gail squash Allie or something.

Teddy Long's appearances on Raw were just a cameo at this point. There are no plans to bring him back as a full-time character. They definitely need him to pop up every now and then. He's always a lot of fun and they rarely expose him to the point of monotony like The Authority/Vince.

WWE has seriously upgraded their production trucks, and has moved to a tapeless format. They like to remain on the cutting edge, given all their needs as an entertainment juggernaut.

Mick Foley, RVD, and Raven are all appearing as hosts on the upcoming WWE Hardcore Championship DVD. No Tommy Dreamer? I loved the Hardcore Title for a while. I wish TNA would have turned the KOTM Title into one when Bram was champ. There's still time.

Luke Gallows talked about bringing The Club to WWE. NJPW owns the name Bullet Club, so WWE's hands were tied there. I expect the group could be known as the Balor Club sooner rather than later, but who knows exactly how Finn will be used on the main roster? He could end up going against AJ's group.

Tough Enough's Chelsea Green was backstage at the most recent NXT TV taping. She worked for TNA  earlier in the year, but maybe she ends up heading to NXT along with some of the other TE alumni.

- Daniel Bryan was also at the taping, the first WWE event he's attended since his retirement. While in Orlando, he worked out at the WWE Performance Center.

-- Bryan met with EVOLVE's Gabe Sapolsky at the NXT taping. I wonder if WWE would let Bryan do some kind of work with that promotion? It could help EVOLVE out as the unofficial feeding system to NXT.

WWE has filed to trademark the name Maryse again. She'll continue to be a part of the WWE TV family. I wouldn't be surprised if she ends up getting new action figures and the like.

WCW Nitros from 1999 and 2000 are being uploaded to the Network. It shouldn't be too much longer until all the editions of those shows are up. Presumably WWE will then start uploading episodes of Thunder.

Stephanie McMahon and John Cena will give a speech in France on how WWE engages fans on June 23. That's a pretty important deal.

Smackdown Thursday night drew just shy of two million viewers, their lowest audience since New Year's Eve. Other than that date and Thanksgiving, it was the least-watched show since September. Considering USA is a more prominent network than SyFy, that's not a good number.

For my take on yesterday's PWInsider.com questions:
1. If Brock loses, he's going to have to really kick some ass. Not that I don't think it's doable, but I think that would mean a lot of superstars getting thrown around by the part-time guy. That's the more important problem.

2. That gap's still pretty wide no matter what. I don't see them burying the hatchet anytime soon.

3. I hesitate to say it will NEVER happen. I think the wrestlers of the current and upcoming generation get along well enough to consider unionizing. It's a lot easier said than done, though, and I expect we're years from it even being an option.

4. Filing taxes as a WWE superstar has got to be a NIGHTMARE.

5. I don't see why not! Especially if UFC expects Brock to do interviews and publicity.

More wrestling tomorrow.
