Callihan set for podcast, ex-Knockout reuniting with Impact stars Mania weekend, Interviews with Darren Young/DDP/Harper, Thunder finally Network-bound, Jeff Hardy arrested, and Questions on Vince changing AJ vs. Shinsuke, naming a match after Flair, Ronda's husband replacing Kurt, Vince stepping down, and Roman passing Punk's reign

Sami Callihan will be on Talk is Jericho soon. Callihan is definitely getting some pretty big press from smashing Edwards' face in.

The former Laurel Van Ness will be joining Allie, Rosemary, and Sienna at a Wrestlemania weekend party promoted by Impact. That's interesting given her no longer working there or under that name. She's taking independent bookings.

ESPN covered the former Darren Young doing community work:
- I'm glad he's gotten so much support and can be a role model for others inside and outside the business.

- It was definitely unexpected that he was cut a day after doing a big PR appearance.

- Young has a pretty good resume in the business; his hard work has made him valuable and still can.

- It's tough to balance wanting to elevate new talent with not slighting people who have been working hard for years to get big spots. Some of the Nexus members were more ready for a main event run  than others.

- Young just never made things work in WWE when he wasn't with Titus, for whatever reason.

- I hope more doors open for Young in the ring if that's what he wants to pursue. I wouldn't mind seeing him in Impact or ROH at all; his ring work and experience speak for themselves.

DDP defended Ronda Rousey in WWE.

Harper discussed the Wyatt Family, Bludgeon Brothers, etc. I hope he can be a big success in WWE.

WCW Thunder will begin coming to WWE Network on March 19. That's big! Thunder has got to be the most prominent content that's currently absent; its addition to the service has been anticipated for a while.

Jeff Hardy was arrested Saturday night for driving while impaired. He was released an hour after his arrest and his driver's license was revoked for 30 days before his April 16 court appearance. More details on this in future news posts. That's an unfortunate turn of events for Jeff after having been in a positive place the last few years. I hope he's able to return to how he had been doing before his injury.

For my take on yesterday's PWInsider.com questions:
1. Vince doesn't do it out of spite; he does it because he realizes Cena is a much bigger deal than AJ and Shinsuke as far as WWE is concerned, and in wrestling in general. Cena being in the mix would have elevated both men as legitimate main eventers since he's been in title matches for 13 years and those two combined haven't been on the main roster for three. Either man pinning Cena at Mania would have been really big for their careers; much bigger than being in the "designated hardcore fan appeasement match."

2. I can't disagree, although a match that big and long should be pretty rare these days. They definitely shouldn't do it once a year just to do it like they do so many other gimmick matches.

3. I really doubt it. Angle is a much bigger draw, and having two people on one team who have never had a professional match in one of the main events of Mania would be a disaster. HHH and Angle leading things makes more sense.

4. Long story short, Vince doesn't care if the show is "better" from a wrestling perspective. He's not going to change things unless he's in a spot where he pretty much has to. In the one-in-a-million (billion?) chance FOX tells him to put HHH in charge as part of getting Raw and Smackdown, he'd change. If he has to focus on XFL to the point where he can't focus on WWE, things will change, but not "for the sake of the product." Vince has been presenting his vision of "sports entertainment" for more than thirty years now and he'll do it for thirty more if he can.

5. Roman will beat Bruno's reign and retire as the combined Universal/WWE/Impact/ROH/LU/NJPW/NWA World Champion BELIEVE THAT. Honestly, I'd be surprised to see him hold the title that long with so many other top workers they can use. We know how frequently plans change and Roman could get injured/suspended/fall out of favor within that time given how often things change in the wrestling world.

More wrestling tomorrow.
