Main Event Reax - 3/4/18, Scottish wrestler vs. Australian UFC champion?, assorted WWE press, Rey and two NXT names potentially injured, CMLL names have travel issues at ROH show, former Emma gets ROH shirt, Impact taping more TV in Canada, Interviews with Savinovich, Gargano's last NXT live event?, and Questions on Impact airing Callihan injuring Edwards, Fox picking up Impact, Asuka's streak vs. Hawkins', and heat between Charlotte and Sasha

-- Main Event:
- Tozawa vs. Ariya:
Nice start.

I like Tozawa a good deal.

Daivari is kind of just there to let the face cruisers beat him, but that's fine.

Rough bump onto the turnbuckles.

This is fine enough.

Tozawa is really getting showcased here.

It pains me SO much to see someone kick out of the frog splash.

Pretty fun overall.

- Goldust vs. Hawkins:
Curt has 166 documented straight losses before this match. It's worth noting some might have been missed, as his Twitter account suggests he has more than that. Either way, it's a lot and he hasn't won since November 8, 2016.

I liked that start.

Ha. Hawkins asking for a DQ. When he does get a win, it's going to be an amazing thing.

I'm loving this in all its silliness.

I mean, there's got to be a way for Curt to win a match, right?

Oh, well. Maybe Curt will be drafted to Smackdown at some point and get a win there?

Scottish wrestler Joe Hendry called out the UFC's Middleweight Champion ahead of both of them entering the freestyle wrestling Gold Coast Games in Australia. That could be an interesting clash.

Mark Henry was at the Arnold Classic, presumably on behalf of WWE. I imagine he was scouting talent at the event.

Ronda Rousey commented on entering the International Sports Hall of Fame, while Gerald Brisco tweeted about joining the National Wrestling Hall of Fame and Museum. Both honors are well earned.

WWE UK has superstar leggings available. Those are pretty cool.

- WWE UK also has a contest to go to Wrestlemania.

Rey Mysterio has undergone testing due to see if he tore a biceps muscle at a recent indie event. That could definitely be a downer for a man poised for big things going forward.

CMLL's talents missed the meet-and-greet before Manhattan Mayhem, with Soberano, Jr. arriving about five minutes before his match with Punishment Martinez. Things were definitely clunky when those two faced off.

Tenille Dashwood now has a shirt with ROH, so she could be quite the regular there. She's definitely a marquee name for WOH.

Impact Wrestling will tape TV in Ontario on June 1 and June 2 as part of the road to Slammiversary. It's smart to just do a few shows after the sharp attendance drop during the last tapings.

Hugo Savinovich is doing short videos for LuchaLibreOnline, discussing Chris Benoit, returning to WWE commentary, and his relationship with WWE. Hugo should go into the WWE Hall of Fame at some point.

Montez Ford of NXT's Street Profits looks to be out of action for unspecified reasons. That's unfortunate; I hope it doesn't totally derail the duo.

Johnny Gargano was announced as working his final NXT date this weekend. I assume he's headed to 205 Live or something after WM34. He's been really impressive; he can definitely deliver in the ring as needed.

Bobby Fish was walked to the back after a match at an NXT live event due to an issue of some kind. More in future posts as it's reported. I hope UE doesn't have to miss time; they've been great.

For my take on yesterday's PWInsider.com questions:
1. To get publicity, which certainly worked. There are three "Human Centipede" movies, so clearly there's an audience out there for the kind of thing most people would shy away from. It was definitely extreme.

2. I don't see it happening. Fox wants something to potentially offset losing UFC. Impact's nowhere near at that level, and I don't see Fox wanting to throw a ridiculous amount of money their way to try to change that. Even in a best-case scenario, it would take quite some serious time to make Impact a player at WWE's level.

3. Ha! Probably Asuka's, because she'll hit a point where she's out of people to beat or fans are tired of seeing her win. Hawkins' streak is more of an inside joke and there's not much reason to break it just to break it, since he's probably going right back to losing most of his matches when it's over.

4. I was going to suggest his DVD.

5. Sasha's definitely competitive, but I think there's at the very least a mutual respect between them after what they've accomplished together.

More wrestling tomorrow.
