Backlash injury?, WWE names booked for indie show, Vader back in the ring?, pre-Raw signing, WWE names at convention, Cena cartoon coming soon, Alberto becomes a citizen, MMA Horsewomen start at WWEPC, "Total Divas" set for seasons eight and nine, Y2J and Rey working next NJPW show, WWE Carpool Karaoke, PROGRESS touring U.S., more WotW matches, and Smackdown live event notes

Alexa Bliss was reported as being injured at Backlash, which may or may not be storyline considering she's still part of the MITB build

Rey Mysterio, Corey Graves, and Jerry Lawler are booked for Northeast Wrestling's August tour. It's pretty cool Graves can take outside bookings, and this is another confirmation it will be a while before Rey is going to WWE.

Vader teased wrestling again. What doctor would OK that????

Zack Ryder did a signing at a Cricket Wireless store before Raw. Long Island Iced Z was in his hometown there.

John Cena, Braun Strowman, Shinsuke Nakamura, and Alexa Bliss will be signing at a convention in Florida later this month

John Cena's animated YouTube series will debut on May 30. He's quickly getting quite a bit of non-WWE work.

Alberto El Patron has officially become a naturalized citizen of the United States. That can really open doors for him.

MMA's Marina Shafir and Jessamyn Duke have joined the WWE Performance Center. They have long been linked to Ronda Rousey and Shayna Baszler. Given how great the latter two have been, we can only hope for the same from the other two Horsewomen!

"Total Divas" has been announced for two more seasons. The show has really been a success.

Kenny Omega, Cody, and the Young Bucks will soon have Funko pop figures, as NJPW is licensing names for the line. Funko is OVER.

Chris Jericho vs. Tetsuya Naito is official for NJPW Dominion on June 9. Rey Mysterio will also compete on that show. That's really big for them so close to the Cow Palace show. I really hope Jericho and Rey are on that event, too.

WWE's Carpool Karaoke will feature New Day, Braun Strowman, Nia Jax, Naomi, Becky Lynch, Natalya, Charlotte Flair, and Alexa Bliss. That should be pretty interesting.

PROGRESS will tour the U.S. from August 4 through August 12, running shows in New York City, Boston, Chicago, Detroit, and Seattle. That's awesome! The UK-based promotion continues to expand beyond their neck of the woods.

ROH has added the following matches to the War of the Worlds Tour:
-- Daryl Takahashi, Jr. will make his U.S. debut.

-- May 9 in Massachusetts:
- Bully Ray vs. Cheeseburger. I'm definitely more excited for Daryl Jr. than Bully.

-- May 11 in Ontario:
- Tetsuya Naito vs. Beer City Bruiser
- LIJ's Hiromu Takahashi, BUSHI, EVIL, and SANADA vs. Dalton Castle, Jay Lethal, Kenny King, and Flip Gordon
- Hangman Page vs. Silas Young

-- May 13 in Illinois:
- Jushin "Thunder" Liger and Cheeseburger vs. The Dawgs
- Tenille Dashwood vs. Karen Q

At Smackdown's May 7 live event in Pennsylvania:
- Sonya Deville, Mandy Rose, and Lana lost to Asuka, Becky Lynch, and Naomi, so Sonya and Mandy are still working together despite Paige saying Absolution is done.
- Daniel Bryan was on MizTV, taking Miz out with his signature knee. Interesting to note they didn't have an actual match
- Randy Orton did not appear as advertised.

More wrestling tomorrow.
