Read on for my thoughts on last night's Raw.
- Roman/Jinder/Kevin/Sami/Lashley/Braun:
The Brock angle is dragging on WWWAAAAYYYYYYYYYY too long.
Does it matter if Joe beats Roman? Neither are good enough to beat Brock, apparently.
It's crazy trying to sell Jinder as a top guy after he lost convincingly in the U.S. Title match.
Fun stuff from Kevin and Sami.
See, Cena would have beaten all three by himself.
As much as I love Lashley, he's in a tough spot as a face with Roman and Braun there.
Not bad. Ten bucks Canadian says Jinder's taking the fall in the main event.
- Elias backstage:
Not really sure what the point of this was.
- Elias/Roode:
I'd have been good with Elias winning the U.S. Title from Jinder and Finn (?) moving to SD with the IC Title.
- Roode vs. Elias:
Roode's another guy who's going to have trouble making it up the card as a face.
This is good enough so far.
Roode is really solid.
Interesting.....
- Authors squash:
Good times. I promise these guys can go the distance. They've been great in NXT.
- Post-match:
I'm more than willing to sacrifice the Woken Warriors for Akam and Rezar. It's run its course.
- Rollins/Finn/Bo/Curtis:
WHYYYYY IS BROCK STILL CHAMPIONNNNNN
Jesus, Finn. Why not move up and challenge Brock? No one else can beat him.
OH MY FUCKING GOD THOSE SHIRTS.
That was funny.
I'm all for a Finn heel turn to do something fresh. I appreciate the Balor Club For Everyone thing, but Raw NEEDS some strong heels.
- Sasha interview:
Maybe if you were a little nicer, you'd have more friends.
- Sasha vs. Ruby:
This is good so far.
Sasha's definitely really talented. She's hit a wall, though. Since they didn't move her to SD, she needs something fresh.
Fine work so far.
Ruby's solid!
I wonder how long the Squad will last without each other.
Not bad!
- Alexa PSA:
God I love it.
- Titus/Corbin:
I swear Titus needs to make this his gimmick. Sell waterslides and everything.
Meh ending.
- Deleters:
That was OK. Bray works best when he was someone at his side.
- Roman/Braun/Lashley vs. Owens/Sami/Jinder:
Great start with Kevin and Sami.
That was funny to behin.
This hardly seems even after Owens and Sami lost to a retired guy and their boss.
Smart to work together and isolate one member.
Roman and Sami work together well.
Kevin and Sami are a well-oiled machine. It's like they've been tag team champions before somewhere....
Good times with Braun.
That was fun!!
- Corbin promo:
Baron's really lacking something. I guess I need to stop thinking of him as the former Mr. MITB and think of him as someone who *might* end up IC Champion at some point.
- Corbin vs. Jose:
This is OK so far.
HAHAHHAHAAH fun enough.
At least my man Titus is getting attention.
- Natalya vs. Mickie:
Natalya smells blood in the water.
I'd pop for Alexa beating Ronda at some point.
OK to set something more up.
- Post-match:
Nia vs. Ronda would really be something. And Nia vs. Shayna down the line??
- Backlash match announcement:
Man. Unless there's going to be tension between Braun and Bobby, it's going to be another tough match for Kevin and Sami to win.
- Seth vs. Finn:
I hope these two are kept apart for a while after this.
At some point I can't get excited about this match.
Both men are insanely well conditioned, though.
Clever falcon arrow spot.
These two know each other SOOOO WELL.
I'm liking all the counters.
Pretty fun.
More wrestling coming up.
